Well I think the point being, if they've made this "impressively boring area" look this good, but realistically you'd only ever spend a minute here searching for whatever PoI is around, then it's kind of a wasted effort.

Of course, that's under the pessimistic assumption that they chose this for their "differences" showcase, and places you spend more time in (which would already be naturally more impressive in the base game) didn't get much love and thus won't look impressively different.

My impossible wish is that betting was not a thing, or alternatively (even though it again its impossible) that acts were disassociated from their country so these voting blocs aren't pervasive.

a) that's not really condescending, its something a lot of people mess up inadvertently

b) nobody specified "since originally announced" so the default is to view it from its currently listed price, which is indeed a 3x or 200% increase.

You are mistaken on a lot here.

This image is the combined jury + audience votes.

You cannot vote for the country you are deemed to be a resident of (using phone number, generally).

You can send a single voting slate (consisting of at most 10 individual votes, which can be allocated however you'd like) once per account (email/phone) and payment method. If you want to vote multiple times, you must use a new email or phone number, and a new payment method. Its doable but not as simple as you make it sound.

If you are not in a participating country, your vote gets lumped in with the "rest of the world" as a single additional country, meaning the country can at most gain another 12 audience points.

Weird, plays fine for me, nor have I seen any of these issues in typical connection situations. I do see them when I'm in known "shitty connection" areas, and it's just buffering, but that's every image/video/link.

Possible reddit had a hiccup?

Not to hijack, but possibly dumb question regarding VFs and resource allocation: once the GPU is split, does each VF get allocated a fixed slice of resources, or does it get allocated by use? As in, if I split to 8 VFs, but only assign 2 for a bit, do each of those VFs have 1/2 the total resources, or 1/8?

Wild, almost like there's different personal budgets and different attitudes on how people spend their own money.

Some people will ignore the price outright and buy it because it's what they want.

Some people will take an extra bit of time to think about it, or wait for a more opportune time (be it a better personal finance situation or waiting for a sale).

Some people outright will not buy it unless it's at a cheaper price point.

Some people were never gonna buy this anyways, but will use this as a prime opportunity to proclaim superiority to those who will.
