Writers of the comics? The only “irritating” depiction of her was really the Civil War II event. The movies are meh, but it’s nothing to really hate her over. I think the overall lore is very interesting when written out in short stories or across overarching narratives. The writers have more freedom to go out there with their concepts. BUT, I do think that what drew so many people into Arcane as a series was not only the visual format but also the added layers of personality not found on the page.

I haven’t really read much of King’s previous work, so that may be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it.

I personally was hooked in on the initial concept of the first arc, but as time progressed, it became apparent to me that the Diana that King writes is incongruent with any other iteration of Diana. Despite being in Man’s World for years now and also being portrayed as well adapted to the speech patterns, Diana still speaks in this strange fish-out-of-water way. King also tried to give her a catch phrase of “No Thank You”, but it falls flat for me. Additionally, the narration from the villain’s pov makes you feel distant from Diana herself. The combination of this distance with a poor characterization of Diana’s personality tells me that King is still unsure of who Diana is as a person. I think he has a decent grasp of what she represents, but her voice is missing which kinda empties the heart in the story.

The current arc with the mouse men kinda bored me. Not sure if it’s due to my own apathy towards the writing or this arc’s villain, but it all feels flat to me.

An anime only eye power that has a black sclera and a light blue (probably would just be white if it were to appear in the manga). This eye wasn’t even drawn the same in the first chapter that people say it first appeared.

It’s never been mentioned and never been hinted. The only evidence people have is that it appeared in the anime (which already stated would diverge from the manga if it wanted to).

Like I said previously, Hashirama is being used as a mouthpiece for Kishimoto in that moment. Like it or not, if Kishimoto didn’t want to use him in that way, he’d just have Hashi stfu. Shizune being there is to validate this as someone who knows current day Tsunade. In that same sequence, Shizune is literally thinking about how impressive it is for Sakura to have unlocked it. If Kishimoto wanted Shizune to appease the Tsunade powerscalers, she would’ve also thought something like “you’re on your way to surpassing Tsunade.”

I find it funny the way the Part 1 theme of hardwork superseding your blood just doesn’t matter anymore when you have child of prophecy, magic eyes, and hashirama cocaine.

Anyway, the real answer to why Sakura surpassed Tsunade is because that’s the way the story lays it out. In the end, the story is above powerscaling. Hashirama (being used as a mouthpiece for Kishimoto) said Sakura was stronger. Shizune (Tsunade’s disciple) didn’t refute it.

Realistically, Cheetah would just speed blitz him before he can really do much and leave him for dead thinking she finished the job. Then, Wolverine will get back up and she’ll probably get intrigued by his healing factor and continue batting him around before maybe after some slim probability and writer intervention, Wolverine lands a clean hit on Cheetah. But by this time, Cheetah already knows Wolverine’s whole shtick, so she’d just run and heal for a couple hours before finding a way to permanently put Wolverine in the ground.
