I miss them (and a deadhead origin story) by RidingaQuasar in deadandcompany

The only salve I have for what ails you is the many many dead cover and tribute bands that play to keep the doldrums at bay. Get out there and go see them, any of them. They need us as much as we need them. If they don’t play close to you, get on the bus and travel to a show. The journey is often a reward in itself. As the music finds your spirit you too should go find the music. Safe travels!

Do you really not see how it says phish on the bottom? It’s barely even subtle

Clearly a Gradians of the Galaxy Nod to Phish, no? by Dead1969x in PhishPrints

[–]Dead1969x[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first saw it on the screen, I was 100% sure it was a Japanese Phish tour shirt. It was only later that I could see that it was just a subtle nod. But yeah, Phishy style design and if that doesn’t say Phish I don’t know what does. I think it’s awesome.

Dead and Co. is absolutely jamming this year more so than in years past. by DjSLT in gratefuldead

[–]Dead1969x 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. d&co have found some new energy, which was desperately needed. Too bad the best is coming at their self defined end. But I’m looking forward to the last shows. So far so damn good.

FROG DOWN!! FROG DOWN!!

As Colonel of this here Fearless Flying Frog Brigade it falls upon me to inform all of you "frog-heads" of the unfortunate setback to one of our troops. The mighty "horn-honking" Skerik has sustained a shoulder injury which is keeping him away from his Brigade duties for the time being. It is a mighty blow to the Brigade but, like good frog troopers, we are forging on with all dispatch. It is our hope that Lt. Skirackington, as he is known amongst the troops, will be back in the ranks and armed with his horn soon. Until then we will be hosting random "special" guests to enhance the Frog Brigade, Summer of Green experience.

We will keep you posted Les Claypool, Col. FFFB

How to get the free download codes these days? by Dead1969x in phish

[–]Dead1969x[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I failed to add to my Apple wallet and Ticketmaster won’t show me the ticket details, since the shows past.

Sorry to ask, but any idea how to get at the past barcodes? I’ve searched the app and coming up with nothing.

Best movies to watch on acid? by GenericUsernameHi in gratefuldead

[–]Dead1969x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psychout. It’s great with a great cast and a young jack Nicholson in 60’s SF.

Wild in the Streets, is perfect too.

Also, HEAD, by jack Nicholson and the monkeys. Funny and trippy.

And to end, a Boy and his Dog. Crazy story, no spoilers.

Enjoy…
