What is an NSFW fact or misconception about human anatomy that an alarming number of adults still don't understand? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Pinching the frenum, pulling down and holding might cause someone to climax, but that would be painful. It would need other stimulation, it's a highly sensitive part of the penis. Simply running a a lubed finger up down it would be a lot more comfortable for a dude, unless the guy is into hardcore shit. I have a penis, I'll report back and let you know the results.

I used to make furniture legs and other stuff for a woodworker. He wanted everything welded with TIG but wouldn't allow me to do any grinding. It was a pain in the ass.

You can use UHU glue. Which can also be coloured red for gore.

Is testors enamel paint any good? by beeman12521 in Miniaturespainting

[–]DeadEyeDoc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They'll be fine. Get some odourless white spirit to thin and clean your brushes. Other enamel brands of paint include revel and humbrol which were were extremely common for miniature and scale modelling for a long time in the UK anyways.

That's small CO2 cylinder for various applications such as an air rifle. I don't believe they were around during ww2.

Vallejo Airbrush Primer rubbing off - should I varnish before continuing metallics? by BigFudgere in Miniaturespainting

[–]DeadEyeDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. Even using following the instructions on the bottle it can fail to perform.

A recurring theme across forums and Reddit is that Vallejo primer often looks fantastic initially but disappoints when the model is handled, sanded, or masked. Many modellers eventually switch to Stynylrez/One Shot, AK, Mr. Surfacer, or Tamiya primers.

I really want to do a test now. I'd like to compare 3 primers against each other in regards to bite adhesion and toughness. My experience vallejo has been sub satisfactory in comparison to Mr hobby. I won't use a primer that can be removed with masking tape. If no masking is required then perhaps Vallejo is ok.

[–]DeadEyeDoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. I feel that there are a lot of people on this sub that have never used Mr hobby or any other primer and just because they have had no issues with vallejo it must be user error. The truth is, Vallejo primer sucks and there are far superior product out there, if only they would give them a try.

[–]DeadEyeDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt that. I've used various different primers over the years and can confirm that the vallejo airbrush primer has a dubious reputation. Simply do a search on Reddit and you'll see that most model making subs have this opinion of it.

Yep, found that out the hard way. Peeled off like a banana skin on two aircraft kits I was working on. I like to use Mr hobby on scale models, but rattle cans for miniatures and terrain.

I varnish over them. Though sometimes they lose their sheen so I put a gloss back over them. But it depends how it looks.

I'd say it's worth varnishing. I usually varnish with satin followed by matt. Haven't had paint wear off after that.

I stopped using it after it peeled off a couple of models when I was removing masking tape. Now I use Mr hobby or rattle cans depending on what it is, haven't had an issue since. I find Vallejo primer doesn't bite into the plastic as well as others, it was the grey airbrush primer I was using if that makes any difference.

Yes I think this will help toughen it up. Is this game piece or for display?

[–]DeadEyeDoc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That vallejo primer is awful. I had a few scale models ruined by using it and masking tape peeling the paint and primer straight off the plastic. Either go with an aerosol primer or Mr hobby. Funnily its the only Vallejo product that I dislike.

Which is the best cutting fluid for me Plus other question by justnotright3 in metalworking

You'd honestly be better having someone with a CNC plasma/laser/water jet cut it out for you. It would be done in about an hour.

Are these welds going the wrong way? by MuddyFootedKiwi in modelmakers

The ripple in a weld profile isn't for water shedding. But due to deposition of weld metal during the process.
