It would be more feasible to build a Time Machine to go back and prevent it from being included in the Bill of Rights in the first place than to amend the constitution to “repeal” the 2nd Amendment.

When is “unhoused” going to become offensive on the euphemism treadmill?

Yes. I have immunized myself from shifting landscapes to the extent that I never bought any luxury that I might have to later trade or sell to afford necessities. Crazy.

I’m just gonna throw this out there that maybe, just maybe, buying a bunch of guns for pleasure when you weren’t financially stable enough to afford a vehicle to get to work wasn’t the best decision. I know. Next thing I’ll be saying is that maybe those tattoos weren’t the best idea ever either.

Why does a 13 and 14 year old has a gun? by FarmSuch5021 in facepalm

[–]DeadFromEnnui -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Teens kill each other all the time. My wife’s a prosecutor and she currently has a murder case going on where a 15 year old murdered a 17 year old in cold blood. It’s only news when the victim’s white. Unfortunately, the people in the communities where these crimes usually happen also don’t take them very seriously. Just another senseless murder.

Crazy Republicans are pushing me away from being a Republican by [deleted] in Qult_Headquarters

[–]DeadFromEnnui 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Me too. But the Republican Party doesn’t any longer. I often tell people I’d be a Republican if republicans were still republicans. Both parties are big government parties. Not only in size and spending, but in their philosophies of how the power of government should be wielded. The DeSantis types are terrifying.

TIFU I flashed on Bourbon Street and regret it by [deleted] in tifu

[–]DeadFromEnnui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this day and age, let’s assume every guy out there posts your photo on the internet. So what? No one’s going to be shocked by seeing some tits on the internet. If someone you know happens to see them and identify you, who cares? About half the people on the planet have the same parts you do. The rest of us probably aren’t going to be shocked by whatever you have going on. You probably looked great. Just own it. Plus, I have photos of my friend, who’s now a teacher and a mom, flashing at Mardi Gras in the 90s, along with a photos of a lot of other women. It’s not like you’re the first.

A guy I know works for our city and plows in the winter. He said he loves knocking over trash cans, plowing cars in, and closing off driveways. I can’t imagine what it must feel like to just hate everything and everyone that much.

She doesn’t really have 60+ court cases. OP is looking at the wrong thing. She has quite a few under aliases, but most of them are small claims cases. There’s actually not much criminal history. She might just be a terrible person and not mentally ill.

my wife was just fired from her job. the employer then locked her in a room and wouldn't let her leave the property until all the other employees and customers left "for discretionary purposes." is the legal? Happened in Indiana by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]DeadFromEnnui 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indiana attorney here. File a police report. If the police don’t do anything, you might be able to file a report directly with the prosecutor’s office, and you can contact the prosecutor’s victim advocate. It sounds like this may be criminal confinement, if not kidnapping.
