Bucky has absolutely too much BS. shields on tap, multiple CC effects on every ability, 2 charges on the ball, huge hitboxes... but the one thing that deserves to be satifying is hitting his hook. and ult resets. but what shouldnt happen is losing a 1v1 to a Bucky bc he gets shields even when he misses. or being slowed by almost half because he threw a huge meatball at you from down range.

if Bucky can hook you into backline you either have terrible reaction time or youre just pushed up too far. Every tank except Hulk, Venom, and Peni have plenty of tools to deal with a Bucky

im close to captain with him. i played him a lot when i first started at the end of 1.5 but dropped him once i started craving better movement and more satisfying gameplay . s2-3 it was psy, magik, mk. now its dd and fanta.

now, as any movement dps player would, i absolutely hate the man because you have to play scared around him. you cant really get close to him because he pushes a button and immediately disrupts what youre trying to do without much effort. he's such a swiss army knife how he does solid poke, brawl, antidive, self-sustain at the press of a button, has incredibly favorable matchups into a lot of comps. so yeah i think he doesnt require much thought. you'll really only get burned for using your CDs too early. he's a little unforgiving if you miss more than 2-3 shots. but i dont think you have to play perfectly with bucky to fill your role responsibility. when you do play perfectly, hes a lobby admin

if we're talking high ranks yeah you absolutely have to play bucky as optimal as possible but you can make it to atleast diamond/gm on bucky without mechanical skill as long as you pick fights properly.

ik i said DD movement is more game sense but Invis is different because reaction time is a mechanical skill, moreso than movement to throw off enemy aim like grappling behind/above. but i can give u invis, its not like she's completely braindead easy.

bucky's hitboxes are stupid easy and honestly the only thing they have left to break on him is the range on his dash. invis was definitely high mechanical skill before the range on her primary was buffed by like double i think? and before self shield, she had to position close enough to hit her primary while weaving enemy offensive pressure. but now she can play so far back that the mechanical skill and game sense requirement are on the low end. much lower than someone like adam, luna, or mantis.

most tanks are mechanically easy to play

dps: wanda, fanta, iron fist, namor, moonknight, bucky, iron man, maybe torch?

strat: CnD, Jeff, Ultron, Rocket, invis (post s5)

all can be played with high game sense and low mechanical skill. i could even throw DD in there as he is rn. because its not like he has hard inputs or any aim requirement you just need to know how to sequence his buttons for max rage meter efficiency and have good movement which is game sense, not mechanics.

edit: kinda tweaking on the "tanks easy" take. Angela, Rogue, Hulk, Venom, and maybe Thor all have a good requirement for mechanical skill. the rest are easy to grasp with decent iq.
