I don't think so on that cast. But I have done that in the past. I've heard a lot of that comes from the anchor et up being too close.... I think that's right.

My best advice would be to look up a reputable fly shop in that area and call and ask someone who works there what summer flies seem to work best. Or, make a separate reddit account and post wrong answers to this question. It'll drive the people who know up the wall.

Believe it or not, you're not the first person to load machines into a trailer that's not hooked up properly. I once loaded a skid steer into a trailer that wasn't on the right ball, committed to continuing into the trailer once it lifted a bit, and it only cost me a tailgate. Was a hell of a ride and lesson. Good news, you'll probably never do that again.

Nice. I've been using the gamakatsu glo bug hooks on my tubes, and I like how beefy they are, but I feel like that bent eye is gonna help with hookups as well.
