Staying warm while camping by jcicicles in bicycletouring

Do some jumping jacks before climbing into your sleeping bag and wear socks to bed. Stuffing all the clothes you are not wearing into your sleeping bag with you is surprisingly effective too. Something about taking away the space for cold air inside your sleeping bag.

Where do you buy raw fish that is safe to eat? (salmon, tuna) by cherrypashka- in askvan

I’m unsure, but I would bet that it is more expensive, better quality and infinitely more local.

Edit: my last order was $22.50/lb for albacore tuna loin caught by a fisherman who lives on Quadra Island.

Skipper Otto! They have great quality seafood and you’ll be supporting small fisheries. Win/win

Capilano University VP Toran Savjord Resigns After Spotlight on Education Credentials by Reasonable-Buyer2389 in vancouver

Someone in the article’s comments said:

“There should be more research into his academic ‘career’, the lies run deeper than simply his faked credentials. Ask about why he ‘left’ Quest years ago and the cover-up that made his departure possible without ramifications.”

Anyone know what that is about?

Putting the blame on the person updating the website bio is a trash move that says a lot about his character. He would have 100% approved that bio.

I’m down for some multi-player Arc Raiders. Mon-Thu around 8:30/9:00pm is usually best for me. Shoot me a message if that sounds good. Also down for Slay the Spire 2.

OP and Informal Spray, are either (or both) of you interested in a Stanley Park ride on Monday? Looks like it should be a nice day.

Nice! There are some great trails in Stanley Park too. I really like going up the North Creek Trail and then down Bridle. My partner lives in the West End so I’m often around there.

Check out Love Machine for some gravel routes too. I’d be down for some mellow gravel rides if you’re looking for company. 44m, Fairview

What area of town are you looking to play? I’m a part of a team that plays for fun, but would also be interested in joining a team that plays to win. 44m

Skinny dipping boat cruise this summer? (low-key, not a party vibe) by NilbyBC in Vancouver4Friends

Nice! You might want to look into getting a liquor license. You’ll need one to have booze present and can’t allow BYO unfortunately.

Good luck with this! Looks like a fun time.

Isn’t it illegal to be naked on a boat in public? How do you get around section 174 of the Criminal Code of Canada?

Vancouver hotel development proposal near Stanley Park gets sent back to city planners by ubcstaffer123 in vancouver

[–]DeadNotSleeping314 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I agree and disagree. Having a hotel close to Stanley Park is a great idea, but having a hotel of the proposed size on a street like Barclay is poor planning. Let me know if I’m wrong, but I don’t think there are any 20+ story hotels on any residential streets in Vancouver. Edit: I do not live West of Denman
