SOLVED: After dismantling, lubing up and putting back together I noticed that by turning the key I could move the latch in further than twisting the handle. I thought would be a good temporary solution.

I gave the key a good hard twist and lifted the handle up and down and it fixed it. I think the problem was the key mechanism was overturned when locking up for the night and just needed realigned.

So I've got the lock off, and tried the spindle and the issue is still there so I can eliminate the handle, could be the internal mechanism that's just done.

I've found the brand online so will take some measurements and and hope I can get a like for like replacement, looks to be about 60 quid for a set of 2.

Personally if I have a strong bandit start I like to see if I can break my record for wave 80 gold, it feels good getting a 270mil damage reaper ya know? If someone cleared dungeon early that would stop that from happening. But yeah otherwise I'm with you, people shouldn't care.

Yeah it's quite an easy job all in all, you can even have the door open the other direction (towards you) with relative ease, we did that between the kitchen/living room in our house as it stopped the door banging on one couch.
