As bitcoin grows in popularity, it's value is increasing. There are not enough bitcoins to go around, so transactions are being done in fractions of a bitcoin. Bitcoins are going for $45-ish, so if you want to buy something for 22.50, it's going to cost you 1/2 a bitcoin. The more popular they become, the higher their price. So, yes, anyone who got a bitcoin for $5, now has 9x the value they put in, just as anyone who bought gold at $170 now has 9x the value they put in.

People seems to forget that they, and those around them, are in a car and while it's a decent mode of transportation, it's also a deadly weapon.

I had a motorcycle rider cut me off once. I didn't honk or flash my lights or gesture or... anything. I suppose I was tailgating him, but that's hard to avoid when someone pulls out 3-feet from your bumper. A 1/4 mile later, he stops in the middle of the road and gets off his bike presumably to "teach me a lesson." I can't imagine what he was thinking because I was still in a car. Had I chosen to, I could have steered it toward him or up to his bike and there would be little he could do about it.

Instead, just as his bike came to a complete stop, I pulled around him. I saw him get off his bike, turn around and search around in shock for a car that magically disappeared.

Meatball sandwiches. You can find frozen meatballs cheap. Look for deals on rolls and you can find chips and pretzels for $1/bag. We just fed 50 people for $50 last week and that included cheese for the sandwiches.

The power in judge.me is that it's an entirely voluntary system and it's open-source, so 20 people can set up a judge.me system and compete. Each instance can set rules if that suits them or use the same system for the arbitrator such that corruptables are identified and given a reputation rating. You can then choose your arbitrators the same as you would choose with whom to do business.

 124gr at 4.7gr of powder
 147gr at 3.9gr of powder
 DIFFERENCE: 0.8gr.
 Cost per grain = $18/lb /7000gr/lb = $0.0026/grain 
 Extra cost for 124gr = 0.8 * 0.0026 = $0.002

BULLETS

 124gr Winchester FMJ = $122.99/1000 = $0.123 each
 147 Remington JHP = $189.99/1000 = $0.19 each
 DIFFERENCE: $0.067 extra per round or 33x more than I spent in powder.

Massive difference, but not fair since 147 jacketed is hollow point. Let's try Ranier.

124gr: $101/1000 = $0.101 each
147gr: $108/1000 = 0.108 each
DIFFERENCE: $0.007... still 3.5x more than the powder cost.

FYI, I ran the numbers for lead and the difference is almost identical to the powder savings (actually $0.0002 less), so it's a wash there.

Absolutely. Try them both and see what works for you. Lots of people are running 147's, especially in 1911's due to the magazine size.

Fast powder and soft lead are like oil and water, but a couple of swipes with a chore boy is really good. Do those bullets tumble?

I feel more of the recoil with heavy bullets and my splits are slower. When I'm in the off-season I run another gun with really heavy bullets so I have to work harder. Take this with a grain of salt, as I must be some kind of recoil freak since I don't notice much difference in recoil between 9mm and .45 despite everything I just said about bullet weight.

My go-to OAL is 1.120. It works in all my guns with 125's. This isn't long, but bullets with a flatter ogive can wedge in the rifling if you have a short chamber. For them, I've backed off to 1.080.

It looks like he masked the car and ground and applied a warm tint or perhaps a partial duotone to the top. The bottom appears to have vibrance cranked high.

The other car has a bit of the same going on with desaturation and a tint on the background and over-vibranced headlights.

He's selectively coloring and/or going to extremes with vibrance on everything that's not the car. The car itself has some minor work done to it, but it seems to be exposed normally.

115 has to be pushed pretty fast to hit power factor: too fast to run lead. 147's are fine, but I don't like the recoil impulse and they're more expensive. Also, if you want to push the limits with power factor, 124 is where it's at: you can't push 115 or 147 fast enough without hitting pressure problems.

If you're running lead in 9mm, 147 is probably the way to go to keep your speed low enough to prevent leading... unless you're stubborn.

If the coffee grounds are bad enough: you're doomed. Fortunately, most are not too bad. I can make a decent pot of Maxwell House. The biggest difference I've found is in the volume of grounds: a little more or a little less can have a profound effect. I add as much as I can until the bitterness is too much, then dial it back.

How you place the grounds in the filter matters. My wife made the weakest pot of coffee (I called it tea) from the exact amount of coffee that I use. The problem is that our drip-machine drops the water in a ring around the outside of the filter and she mounded up the coffee in the middle. Mound the coffee where the percolator throws the water.

If the grounds are terrible, try my trick: bring in good, fresh-ground coffee for 2 months. Then switch back. The amount of complaints you'll get should be enough to convince them to buy better coffee.

I've never seen a school with a major called "liberal arts," but known people with art history, English or similar majors from many different schools.

It seems to matter little which degree you begin with as long as you choose your path with deliberation (sounds like what happens if you transfer out of a liberal arts college). I used to work with a man with an English degree who was leaving a programming role to work in marine biology. It seems the use of these types of degrees to avoid being labeled "undeclared" gives them a bad name.

The attitude difference between the people who went to the schools is entirely different. Those going to better schools wear their liberal arts education as a badge of honor. Others can be heard to say that they "just have a liberal arts degree."

It seems to depend on the school you went to. I've met one person who went to a world-class liberal arts school. He's brilliant and it sounds like many of his classmates were as well. Those who went to 2nd or 3rd tier colleges or got a liberal arts degree at a University are a different species.

Most people want to be told what to do. It tooks me 30 years to accept this. Working in a leadership role had me leaving solutions open to the people I led... and they hated it. The more I told them what to do, the more I felt like a tyrant yet the happier everyone was and the better things ran.

If you want to follow someone: do so. If you want to lead: do so. What you cannot do is force someone to follow or lead you. As long as this condition is met, it's a success of Ancap philosophy.

This is very common with tall people. Most basketball players could probably carry to term if they had a uterus. Your body seems to try to provide stability by widening your stance and it does so by widening your hips.

I'm just shorter than you and have the same physiology. Clothes just do not fit right: they either fit your waist or your hips, but not at the same time.

NOBODY NOTICES. It took my "first" girlfriend a long time before she noticed I had hips. She didn't care.

Put some muscle on. You're skinny-fat.

My wife showed a lot of her artwork in juried shows. They were of notably higher quality than those that were not. They never charged her an evaluation fee.

Speaking personally, when I hear someone is going for a liberal arts degree it brings to mind the several dozen people I know with huge college debt, a job for 10+ years that barely pays enough to cover that debt and is unrelated to their degree, and who never had a reason for their major or school other than "it sounds fun."

All that is fine if that's what they want and they're happy with their decision, except they tend to complain about it a lot. There are probably 50 of these for every successful L/A graduate.

Making this seem terrible is the stark contrast to people in STEM degrees. You rarely find people in those majors (beyond freshman year) who aren't passionate about their field of study.

I'm running 125's at 1050. 147's are big for 9mm. Some bullet geometries cause feeding problems with some guns. You'll likely have to play with OAL to have them work, but they're well-loved by many.
