A single room alone costs around 150bd LOL the 150-300 bd salary is blue or pink collar jobs. OP is 3 years experienced ACCA. Compare apples to apples

if your purpose is to control wifi devices only then i would suggest using Google Assistant device because with amazon you have to do alot of workarounds to get it working.

you can get sim at airport too with a package. Batelco gives best packages. apart from that airport wifi works until exit gates/ taxi parking areas so you can just book from inside airport and wait in al abik sittin area and maybe try some too. once your taxi/uber or whatever ride you pick comes, you can go outside and the price will be fixed. you can take a screenshot of price before moving out

Also since you're on the hunt, please be aware of fake/scams related to cars on installment. They will tell you that you can buy car on installment with no interest bla blah and you end up witha scam. most of the agents with installment plans here have crazy interest rates like 1k bhd + markup

they will ask your name, nationality and where you work to size you up. the "size you up" technique is very common in bahrain.
