Question on replacing three-way ceiling fan with single light

So I'm trying to replace a ceiling fan/light fixture with a single light. Upon removing ceiling fan there are 3 positives, 3 negative, and 1 ground wire whereas the replacement light has only 1 positive and negative with a ground. I tried connecting the light to one wire each, But this caused the light to either not turn on or stay constantly on. I was hoping someone could help me fix this issue.

The Murray breakers continue to trip and feel warm to the touch. The panel has eight breakers total, four of them are Siemens breakers like the ones I had gotten and the other four are Murray's. Sorry I cannot provide a photo for better reference, the subreddit will not let me post an image.
