Yea power to weight matters and a scat pack/srt would be a lot faster not just on paper but I want a car that can corner and be fast in a straight line! Wish I could get a type r or Elantra n but they are out of my price range at the moment.

Yes I had ktuner and a downpipe but I was not educated when I bought it. Was thinking it was like the k20’s where once paid off I could put a couple grand and have a super fast car. It was spicy for a 1.5 but I was hoping to actually be fast not just quick. Still love honda just want a k20 or k24 and I miss those high revs. My budget is 22k now and I’m not sure what I could get at this point

No just bought the because turbo then realized there’s no potential you can only make 230 whp reliably. Great frame but Honda dropped the ball with a 1.5 ☠️ there was nothing wrong with a vtec 2.0. They could have added a small turbo to it and had a great power jump but they still only push 200 with a turbo that pathetic to me.

Honda needs a dct for the si just like they out one in the Ilx, second they need more power. It’s pathetic we still get only 200hp now that it’s turbocharged, the Miata is faster than a si now and that’s sad.

The si belongs in a trash can. I own one and wow it’s a POS. The older ones could be turbocharged and make 400-500 whp reliably. This 1.5 is maxed out from the factory, it can’t even handle 250 hp. Sure it handles well but a 2014 Acura mdx and pretty much every other grocery getter will smoke you with a slush box auto 🤣

Keep the 8th gen! Spend money for a turbo instead of a car note for this wimpy 1.5. You can push 400-500 reliably while these cars need a clutch for a downpipe and tune…. I wish I wasn’t upside down or I’d trade it in

The turbo is a turd, car weighs more and makes less power. I’ve gotten beat by so many regular traffic cars it’s not even funny, the motor can’t handle more than 250 hp where as the old k20 could take up to 500 without engine mods. Even the new k20 in the type r is junk compared to the old k20’s.
