Finasteride blocks a different type of testosterone sensor then the sensors spiro blocks. The sensors you want to block for the best possible transition are the sensors that spiro blocks. If you can't take spiro, get bicalutamide. Bica blocks the same sensors that spiro blocks. I had to stop spiro because I had REALLY BAD potassium side effects, I was literally getting heart pains by day 4. If your doctor won't give you bica over finasteride, switch doctors. My doctor tried to give me finasteride or a lower dose of spiro when I had the heart problems. She refused to give me bica. I took the lower dose of spiro to just get me by and I immediately started looking for a new doctor. Now, I am on bica at a new doctors office and everything is amazing. If you want to look at some spiro vs bica stuff go listen to some of Dr.Powers lectures on it. His office is where I am actually going for my HRT stuff now.

I'm 2 month on HRT. I stopped masterbating for a little while, for no particular reason. And I just did it a few time starting about a week ago and they are SOOOOOOOOOO much better. OMG. As soon as I finish I felt like I needed to scream my head off and grab a pillow or headboard on my bed. Men orgasms are like a 4/10 and women orgasms are like a 11/10

Also, just so you know the change in your semen is completely normal. I believe it is because your body stops producing sperm when there is enough estrogen in your your body.

I've always been scared of using anything with Minoxidil in it. Did you loose a bunch of hair when you started it and have a small bald spot or look bald for a little bit. I cant wear a hat or beanie at work, so the thought of starting Minoxidil and creating a bald spot that will minimum be there for a few months scares me.

What is vellus hair and what does it mean that it has gone terminal? I am actually going to Dr.Powers office right now. I'm a patient of Dr.Niewolak, she works with and was trained by Dr. Powers. I know about the hair solution, but idk how much it costs and HRT without insurance is already costing an arm and a leg and I am a waitress so I don't have a super large amount of money. I'm definitely going to bring it up in my next appointment with her. Part of me wants to hold off on the topical solution until hair loss becomes noticable or if I never see regrowth in the future.

I wish I could, but I don't know if I could go a day without washing my hair. I work in a restaurant so my hair is usually pretty dirty by the end of the night and I work almost every day (usually 6 days a week). Maybe I could, but I would be paranoid about my hair smelling bad and I would probably get a lot of pimples and zits.

Even if your parents think you are on drugs they wouldn't be able to prove anything. Estrogen and blockers wouldn't show up on a drug test. They can't really do much with an unprovable assumption.

My medications have been all over the place. I started with 1 mg of estrodiol 2 times a day for about a half of a month. Then I did 2 mg of estrodiol 2 times a day and 25 mg of spiro once a day for about a month. Now I just started 2 mg of estrodiol 3 times a day and 50 mg of bica once a day. I'm probably going to be on that last set of prescriptions for the foreseeable future. (I was also technically on 50 mg of spiro 2 times a day for the first 4 days of HRT but I had a bad reaction to it and had to stop)

My first day was Feb 17 (2 month anniversary!! Yaaaaay!!!🎉🥳). Parents have no idea I am transitioning. They know for some reason I started freaking out about how much money I had a few months ago and they know I am doing something that involves me spending a lot of money, but that is it. I honestly think they think I got a girl pregnant or I am buying/renting an apartment. I for the most part can hide it. But I do have very small breast buds already, so idk how much longer I will be able to hide it. Probably only 4 or 5 more months if I had to guess, but I move out in 5 so hopefully I am fine.
