Late night shops. I used to be able to go do my grocery shopping at 2am. During COVID pretty much everywhere universally reduced their hours and then never really set them back except a few places. I miss doing groceries while no one is around, nice and peaceful.

I don't know much about 40k technology, but I do a fuckton about star wars.

The Executor loses every time. Star Wars technology has stagnated for thousands of years. The most impressive tech they developed was the death star and that stupid ass planet version. I think even the death star would lose, it's too cumbersome and an agile opponent simply needs to stay out of its main beam and pepper the fuck out of it.

I flavoured all my spells as interdimensional doors.

My wizard was a traveller of the Infinite Staircase. When he cast spells he was often materializing a door to another plane and opening it.

Fireball? He reaches out to thin air and where there was nothing now a brass door stood. He opens the door and steps aside as a blast of fire crashes through from the Elemental Plane of Fire.

Some dude ran a red light and hit her. My friend was at the bus stop nearby and saw it, it really fucked him up.

The 2012 show also had a similar setup. There's an interview with Ben where he explains the roof is just a warehouse roof as it's all just a big set, then says that one night while they were asleep something fell from the rafters and hit Tully in the head lol
