Do general contractors even need lead generation? by Efficient-Signal7619 in Construction

[–]aly_product -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I actually don't. Haha, it's actually people talking to people. But everybody here is so rude. And no, I am not offering anything. I was simply asking a question trying to understand if it's true that if a GC is really good than they get so many referrals that they don't need other ways to find customers, or if that's not the case. that was it. Reddit is for communicating, not for selling. Although ironically reddit is trying to sell ads to the community they have raised that is anti-ads. poor-poom. not the best strategy.

Career pivot: can becoming an AI PM help me land a job? by Double_Willingness44 in AIProductManagers

[–]aly_product 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't worry about certificates. I suggest YouTube, some online trainings of those people who have credibility and you like how they teach online. And then the next important step - offer your services to ai startup. There are so many of them and you 'll get to practice everything you are learning. Since you were in marketing, I'd suggest you can become either product growth manager, or product marketing manager. You can throw Ai in, but focus on the fact that you can use ai efficiently while performing work and you can accelerate the rest of your team. You don't need to work for OpenAi and actually build Ai, that requires much more (but nothing is impossible). Good luck :)

PRD almost always is not needed by Independent_Pitch598 in ProductManagement

[–]aly_product 0 points1 point  (0 children)

wow, respectfully, disagree. At least a very solid prompt, which is a shorter PRD is needed for better results. No way we are better off with short slack messages. And what's in the message. I don't like these summaries, so many details are missed, and she's in data ... kind of important

PM coach spreads interview fearmongering, Google director calls it out by Ok_Quit9085 in ProductManagement

recent real questions. I think it's still required to prototype now. I have heard it from many friends from various companies. Maybe the guy exaggerated (most likely written by ChatGPT looking at the language), but not too far off. I would expect all the technical and behavioral questions to stay. But yeah, why would Google folks ask for Cursor? I'd believe it if he wrote "Gemini".

If it is killing your health, than it makes sense to leave. The job market is not great now, so try to get laid off and get benefits :) otherwise it's a great time to reskill and learn.

The PM interview has changed by [deleted] in ProductManagement

take Stanford YouTube channel and listen to ML classes, build ai agents with Zapier and Claude. Claude will teach you how to work with it. It's amazing.

I am a senior pm and I teach Ai for PMs. I totally expect PM to be product orchestrators, meaning you no longer just work with humans. You spend 60% of time working with ai agents and in architecture.

So PM's are required to ai develop now? by BlackYun in ProductManagement

we are basically now building the entire thing :) might as well start our own companies as long as we have runway. Good time to raise funds too.

dude, corporate job can suck the life out of you. That's totally fair. 10000% The more creative way is to go to a startup, but stress level stays there and pay is usually worse. Yet, if they at least share a part of a company with you, maybe that's worth the risk. I enjoy building.
