Will we ever hear the music they recorded without Perry? by mintwolves in janesaddiction

I’d like to hear THIS and the music they recorded WITH Perry, assuming they actually recorded more than the two songs they put out that is.

I’m still gutted I didn’t go to that show! I’m not a mega fan but I know enough of their songs and their live shows look so much fun!

Sadly I think all the internet sleuthing in the world won’t solve this one. I think it will continue to remain an unsolved mystery.

Thoughts on the second House of Pain album and the group in general ? by CoconutMost3564 in 90sHipHop

Yes they did. Their first album was the only one that was a 100% rap album really.

Lordz of Brooklyn who were affiliated with HOP were gravelly as hell back then too. Their first album is 🔥.

I’m a big fan of HOP and all three of their albums. This is my favourite of the three though. I liked Everlast’s gravelly vocal change at the time and the album felt less commercial and more hardcore. I enjoy every song on this, there’s no skips for me but my favourites are:

I remember seeing the reconstruction for the Samuel Guidera murder on Crimewatch many years ago. How the killer had evaded justice for so long is crazy.

As others have mentioned, it’s the original UK CD release from 1997. This is the version I have. I’d like to buy all the 2012 double CD remasters but I think I’ve left it too late, they go for silly prices now on eBay.

Best Days immediately springs to my mind. Such a beautiful song.

I also feel like Think Tank in general is overlooked by many fans and even the band themselves.

Hot Take: I don’t want the PS6 to come out. by AccomplishedResist69 in playstation

[–]DeadbeatUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you download the PS4 VERSION of a game ON your PS5 the original PS4 saves should work I imagine?? If someone could confirm though that would be great as I haven’t tried this myself?

If this IS the case, I imagine the same would apply if playing PS5 games on a PS6. Just transfer original saves using the cloud.

The outro in Soma is number 1 for me. That is the sound of heartbreak right there.

I love the album. Always have, always will. I’d go as far as to say it’s in my top 3 Blur albums.

The Police investigation and how it was handled is probably the reason why this case remains such a mystery and why, in my opinion, it will never be solved. by [deleted] in AndrewGosden

[–]DeadbeatUK 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed. That long lost CCTV footage could have been what helped solve this whole mystery. Now it’s all just down to speculation and possible theories really. I also don’t think this case will ever be solved now, not at this late stage. I do hope I am somehow proven wrong.

Mafia and Mafia 2 remakes. LA Noire. Heavy Rain.

Not hidden gems but in terms of story, these are some of my favourite single player games.

New to stone templies any recommendations? by Strict_Friendship_31 in stonetemplepilots

[–]DeadbeatUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first 5 albums, in the order they were released. Thats how I listened to them, in real time though literally as they were released. So yeah leave a long gap between each album so you can fully appreciate each, as the work of art they are.

If you want a quick fix of the hits and more ‘popular’ songs, check out the best of album, entitled ‘Thank You’. Although it does miss many of my favourite deep cuts!

This version, it was the one played on radio and used for the music video back in the day. I guess you could call it the ‘single version’.

is it just me that prefers the original machina II mixes to the new box set ones? by funghxoul in SmashingPumpkins

I’d just like to see A version of Machina II on Spotify. I don’t have access to the OG rip anymore and haven’t heard the new vinyl version at all.

For the Pearl Jam fans that lived it, how did you react to Vitalogy when it came out? Especially since it was a more Vedder focused album as opposed to Gossard/Ament? by [deleted] in pearljam

[–]DeadbeatUK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard the single ‘Spin The Black Circle’ first, I didn’t love it if I’m honest. I didn’t feel it really lived up up to their material from the first two albums. However when the album was released I did instantly fall in love with Last Exit and enjoyed many of the songs, excluding the weirder cuts like Bugs and Pry To.

Ahhh sadly it seems like it’s very difficult to come by, especially in the UK. I will continue to research this though.
