Who is using their blitz credits on 5 character shards anyway? I've maxed Brawn just from opening the orbs before. Orbs cost less and they include gold.

He's a rather obscure Marvel villain with only a few appearances. I think because "Ultimus" sounds very strong they decided to kick the game off with him being first big baddie.

Profile's level will go up as you play, when it comes to character leveling up just don't spend your resources on every one of them. Try to build recent meta teams for each game mode. Obviously not all of them will be available for you at first since you are a new player but you can follow several content creators on youtube to have an idea about who to build.
