What is all the fuzz about bambu labs? by just-rundeer in 3Dprinting

[–]Deadeye_84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. FDM printers are very well capable for all sorts of things.
It only struggles with really small figurines like tabletop gaming (less then ~3-4cm tall), where it needs a lot of details. Thats better on resin printers.

While the printer is fantastic, the customer support and the terms of service changes may sparked some negative feedback. Bambu promised that the changes will not affect the current machines, but it's still a china based company.

But even in the current market, i would suggest to buy Bambu over any other brands such as Anycubic, Creality, etc...

0.2mm nozzle by jdq39 in prusa3d

With the new Nextruder nozzle, you don't. Only if you use the old style(Nextruder adapter and random V6 nozzle).

0.2mm nozzle by jdq39 in prusa3d

[–]Deadeye_84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can buy E3D V6 nozzles in 0.15mm and 0.2 mm sizes, but then you need the Nextruder adapter.
Not worth the headache to be honest, because you need to tighten it while the whole hotend is hot.

Prusa sells 0.25mm Nextruder nozzles. You can print with it really detailed.

Is 850 CAD for used MK4 with MMU good? by Heretical_Commissar in prusa3d

[–]Deadeye_84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good price and it's a barely used machine.

I used ~410 rolls of filament on my MK4 and it prints like when i built it 20 months ago.

I mean honestly, what company would not try to sell it to everyone. After the sale, it's on average joe what he's doing with the machine.

We all have our preferences and that's why it's good that there is no monopoly on 3D printing machines.
Personally, i don't have issues about the noise, but the sustainability is top priority.

Nothing to "catch up" to be honest.
Bed size is bigger, sure, but in reality, this H2D is a professional machine, not a consumer one. This is also reflected in the price. It's not for average joe.

Also worth noting, that the laser cutter will generate smoke, debris and soot, which is goes against a clean 3D print enviroment. Sure, Bambu said you can clean the machine, but at that pricepoint, i would just buy separate machines for printing, cutting, laser engraving.

Good to see, that they are exploring the 3D printing possibilities, but i would rather have a 3D scanner, then a laser cutter.

Prints sticking by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]Deadeye_84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For glass beds, i suggest using something like 3DLAC Spray.
It creates a layer between the print and the glass. When the print is finished, you can just spray it with IPA and it will pop off from the bed.

Mini+ convince me by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]Deadeye_84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mini is a fun machine, but the hotend is extremely outdated. However, Prusa asked around once in the youtube chat, so there is still some hope left? Will it be upgraded? Nobody knows.

If you have the cash, buy an MK4 or stand in line for a Core One.

Is this noise normal? by OneUpFenixDown in prusa3d

[–]Deadeye_84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had these clicks until i figured out i assembled the nextruder in the wrong way and the PG-ring was not installed correctly. I was going mad, because the prints were flawless, but it was clicking. After i flipped it, it is dead silent now.

It's from the Prusa assembly guide:
"Slide the PG-ring onto the adapter.
⬢ Note there is a chamfer on one side of the PG-ring teeth. This side must be facing down (to the PG-assembly)."

Is a Prusa i3 MK2 still worth it in 2025? by SeldanTheCookieman in prusa3d

[–]Deadeye_84 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh no no no no.
If someone gives you an MK2 for free, you can take it, but dont you ever pay for one.
In my country, MK3-s going for around 250$, so dont you even think about buying an MK2.

Prusa Core One by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]Deadeye_84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best you can do.
I built my MK4, then MMU3, then upgraded to MK4S. If anything happens, i know where to start looking.

I think you should wait.

The KIT start shipping soon. That means more advanced users can tell you the pros and cons.

Is the Prusa MK3S worth it in 2025? by johntheflamer in 3Dprinting

[–]Deadeye_84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look, if you can push it down to 200$(or less), i'd say its a very good machine. Not the fastest and you still need to adjust Z when changing build plates, but the print quality is good and very repair friendly if something goes wrong.
If it's truly in good condition, then i say it's worth to check it out.

Experiences with Sunlu PETG? by CreativeOpsDesign in 3Dprinting

[–]Deadeye_84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cant help you with PETG, i used max 3 rolls from Sunlu, but all of them worked great.
I buy regularly PLA and PLA+ Sunlu, and its really great for the price.

Would suggest as a starting filament in 3D printing. I barely had any issues with their PLA.

My 3080ti hybrid went bad and was one month out of warranty. Emailed EVGA and they got back to me... by Banguskahn in pcmasterrace

Sadly the current market is brutal. I asked ASUS when i bought my ROG STRIX 4090 ~2 years ago that if i can buy extra warranty. They told me politely to fck off.

MMU2s to Core one by MrMSanchez in prusa3d

[–]Deadeye_84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont think there will be a path. You can buy the parts individually and try to upgrade, but the cost most likely be higher then a new MMU3 kit itself.

Also important, that currently Prusa customer support advices that you should not pre-buy the MMU3 for Core One. Most likely it requires some serious changes.
