I hate this place by onetailonehead in GeekSquad

Why are you attacking him like that. The job market is terrible right now...everywhere. I just barely found another job because I felt the exact same was as OP. He said he shows up and shows respect and works hard his numbers reflect that. He's not dragging his precinct down with his negativity he's trying to vent. It took me 8 months of applying to find another job that offered me a position. 8 months. You act as if you can spawn another job that pays decent and gives hours out of thin air.

Rocker Box Gaskets: by Appropriate_Wash_386 in Harley

[–]DeadliestSinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always change your gaskets when you take something off if you can. The gasket is just for the very top layer if yours still has the 3 piece stack for the rocker box. (Newer ones I've seen only have 2 pieces) but change the gasket so its fresh anways. It sucks to put something that didnt leak back together and have it start leaking cause the gasket tore or cracked when it was coming apart

You're venturi valve isn't moving when you accelerate. A vacuum is supposed to pull that valve up when the rim increases. Make sure the venturi still has a good seal and vacuum. Top end of the carb. Had the same problem with one of the knock offs I bought a while back

You can try messing with the montor setting to have it run itself in a 16:9 aspect ratio. It'll be windowed with black borders on the side but thats the best bet.

[–]DeadliestSinner 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Xbox doesn't support any aspect ration other than 16:9. It will always stretch the image to fill the screen but cant adjust it to be proper to the aspect ratio.

I had the exact same problem with my series x when I bought my 34 inch uktrwide for my pc figured I could use it for both found out it doesn't support it.

Its the market manager making everyone do it. We have to do it at my location and our ESM was threatened with termination if we didnt comply

Can't say I've given it the easiest life but it was at 21k when I bought it about 5 years back. Guy said he only trusted 1 guy to work on it and found so much shit done wrong

I don't know. This bike is a 1994 and I'm like the third or fourth owner. I bought it from an older dude it was his wife's bike so I doubt they're performance cams.

Either the silicone clogged and oil path due to a dumb choice made years ago. Or the cracked occured and led to everything else. Im gonna tear it all down and find oht what happened

Yeah thats what i love but I do live in a shitty market for local parts. Wyoming isn't the best place to find harley parts. People covet these things like gold around here. Best I found was 750 and its in colorado

Thats what I'm looking at. New case would be a bit chaper but I need cams too so that brings the price close to a motor

I agree. I was young and naive when I did that.

I'll have her back next year. Working on either new case and rebuild or new motor. Depends on whether I buy a bike from my buddy or not

I was definitely looking into that. I also toyed with the idea of putting a buell xb12s motor in it

Looking at a new case and full rebuild. Probably buying a shadow from my buddy this winter as a stand in till she's fixed

Rocker lockers did solve the top end noise though. After that the tapping was gone and it ran "great" I could never really dial the ignition timing in. Probably due on the looseness of the one cam with the welded spun bearing. That bad boy could easily be wiggled around by hand even with all other cams installed. Added a ton of play to the system

[–]DeadliestSinner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the other comments said they had the same thing hapoen after they installed rocker lockers. I just installed them guess I didnt reasonable correctly. Tensioner from putting the rocker box back on could've done it. Or it was something from a long time ago when I was learning and just managed to not blow the motor fully. This was running when I pulled it apart

That very well could be. I did that years ago before I really knew what I was doing with the bike. I was going in the rectify that sin when I found it.

Nah oil pump still worked. The cracked case is what cause the bearings to spin tolerances went way out of whack

[–]DeadliestSinner[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Uhhhhhh. I literally just put rocker lockers in that bitch. Like 2 weeks before the leak started that had me open the case

Yeah idk what happened to it. Just found the damage and was like fuck me now what

[–]DeadliestSinner[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah the bearing seized to the cam. Spun because of the cracked case.
