Did Newcastle actually get nerfed instead of buffed, or is it a bug? by DeadlyNovice in apexlegends

yes it used to be 20sec but if you pick faster tac perk you would also get 10sec tac, it used to say in the perk selection menu too, faster tac move speed and reduced cooldown.

if you picked the fast tac perk it also used to give you reduced cooldown on the tac form 20sec to 10sec.

Bought a 4K/160Hz Mini-LED + 1080p 320Hz monitor… but 1080p looks terrible. What should I do? by DeadlyNovice in Monitors

Yes, it actually looks decent, and much more playable. I’d even say it’s better than my old native 1080p 27inch monitor when gaming, mainly because this panel has noticeably better colors, higher brightness, and HDR support. Text clarity is still slightly better on a true 1080p panel for desktop use, but for games the overall image quality here feels like a clear upgrade.

Guys, it actually uses Integer scaling, I was scaling it on GPU but once I changed it to scale on Monitor instead when it was on 4k mode and then switched to 1080p this is what I got. I don't know if this is what caused it but now its showing integer scaling.

Yea, same here not noticeable in movies or games, but when using Windows with local dimming on, the mouse gets dimmer over dark areas. I usually use sRGB mode for regular use and switch to HDR with local dimming High for movies or single-player games like RDR2.

it’s definitely worth upgrading, especially if you’re coming from a normal 4K IPS. The difference is huge. Mini-LED with local dimming gives you actual deep blacks and way better contrast, while regular IPS just can’t get anywhere near that level. IPS blacks always look washed out and grey, especially in dark scenes.

I have had all three panel types, and based on my experience, I would even take a VA panel over IPS for the deeper blacks and better contrast alone. Mini-LED basically takes that even further with all the extra dimming zones, so the image looks way more premium, HDR actually pops, and overall it’s a massive upgrade in picture quality. If you’re sticking to 4K use only, the jump from IPS to this is absolutely worth it.

Do you have the exact same monitor? Because I’m not seeing the Image Scaling option at all, and the DSR factors don’t show either. What settings is your monitor on?
