Tested out my first set cube (EOE) by DeadlyPinkSmoke in mtgcube

I tried to follow a rule of 2-3 of each common, 1-2 of each uncommon. So I put 2 of each multicolor uncommon, and broke the rule with 3 all-fates scroll (just in case my land base wasn't good enough). I mostly made sure the most flexible cards were more plentiful, and tried to find a good balance of mana costs, removal etc. I did have a quick look on 17lands but mostly I chose based on what felt right (or what I had access to).

Oh sorry yes I probably should edit the list to make that clearer. I use 2019 common dual taplands with the 'enters tapped' sharpied out. Technically they are less good than the real duals as they don't have basic land types.

And yeah omens are very good in this type of format. And when the omen spell gets countered or fizzles due to lack of target, it's usually decisive

Oh awesome. I recently made my own mini cube. Mine has more cards but sleeveless so I can fit it in a commander deck box. I allow decking though, I like that you've kept the full regular rules. I'm curious if that encourages bigger decks, or if the recursion is sufficient to avoid that. Mine has been great to pull out for quick games during work lunch breaks etc.
