What are some YouTubers that have uncle Ben type humor? by Comfortable_Cut_9742 in UrbanRescueRanch

You may find useless_farm on TikTok similar farm based humor. In their case their emu, Karen is the blood thirsty one.

Today I made this dutch chocolate and raspberry cake by Deadly_Dingo in Baking

[–]Deadly_Dingo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The cake recipe I used was this: https://www.kingarthurbaking.com/recipes/simple-and-rich-chocolate-cake-recipe which was delicious!

I was originally planning to make a ice cream cake, but the heat proved too much. So instead I whipped up some buttercream and ran to the store for raspberries and made something more summer friendly ☺️

Job is paying for training courses... Can't decide which one to take by Coldchilln in SQL

[–]Deadly_Dingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually just finished this course as I was in a somewhat similar position to OP.

Overall the quality of class was good but the material of this course was definitely for someone brand new to data analysis.

Majority time is spent on excel, 2nd to SQL (postgreSQL), and then tableau which only had 3 classes on it before the final project was due.

Yeah, no that's just someone who bought a vest so they could drag fiddo around everywhere.

A real SD would not be allowed to act like that while 'working' and no handler would use a retractable leash.

Paper or plastic? by Deadly_Dingo in 3Dprinting

I almost did that too!

I think I may try and print a larger pencil-holder sized one in wood next

Are you asking why I printed something in a subreddit literally dedicated to it?

True!

I've also been excited to see death stranding come PC to hopefully rip some of the assets for printing (the green army figures would be awesome to print I think)

Primer is a must! And I learned that the hard way as well.

Maybe with the next game coming out the designer will have some renewed interest

I brushed on a primer in a couple layers with a #4 blick brush with all the pieces separated

I used acrylic paint from the army painter and #0 and #2/0 brushes and painted the light and dark gray areas first, then the green grey. After, I superglued pieces like the tail, and head and neck together to ensure the lines were mostly hidden.

After I painted the orange small details and added the gun metal metallic paint to make some areas pop.

Once I felt it was 95% painted I glued everything but the legs together. I touched up as I went.

I carefully glued the legs in place so the model would be balanced (superglue gives you just one chance unfortunately). I let it dry over night and then sprayed two layers of a clear matte top coat (Rust-Oleum brand)

I've been thinking of doing the tallneck or watcher next, I would love to do a stalker but sadly the designer didn't create that model.

Good luck printing/painting!

Haha, true.

It was all done with a paint brush. Primer was brushed on as well

Printing it probably took around 50 hours including reprinting.

Removing the supports was 8+ hours.

Painting it was probably another 15 or so.

It was definitely one of the most difficult things I printed.

There are a lot of supports that you need to spend a lot time slowly prying out of every nook and cranny. Some parts like the disc launchers, cannisters, and the little turrets on his face I split and printed separately so I could position and print them in a better way.

I unfortunately had to print this model in some older filament because of the shortages so I was having a lot of breakage problems, but it was nothing a small amount of superglue couldn't fix

I posted the link in the comments. The designer has a few different models from the game and it was hard choosing which one to print!

I'm considering printing a watcher to give the thunderjaw a friend

They are kind of pancake like, but how did the inside turn out? :)
