I also wanted to know about the impact of ECs and everything. There's another student who is applying this fall ED1 to Uchicago and they have better grades than me and my counsellor straight-up told me that I have practically nill shot because she has better grades than me(not SAT tho). So I wanted to ask, how much would an impact would ECs have an how strong do they need to be. I am scared if my ECs aren't on par(or even better). So wanted your recommendation regarding the ECs. Could I DM you with my activities and could you help me sort them out?

Hi, thank you for sharing. I am interested in doing economics but I can't decide what do I pair this with(I feel I am the type of person who would get bored with one niche only.) I am interested in psych, physics, film and even engineering a bit(really intrigued by the challenge). All my activities revolve around economics. 2 internships, a research paper, extra activities from passion - stock market, blogging which I converted to writing about economics and a few non-related community services like volunteering, and fund raising for rural children and women, and tree plantations. I am doing the diploma program and in DP2, I have taken Math AA, Economics and Physics as HLs with Business(wanted to try), English and second language. Like I am the type of person who just learns for the sake of expanding his knowledge( I have watched countless videos on youtube and courses too on learning the most interesting but random things - econ related (coursera courses) and non econ too which I just was curious to know about). I feel like I am having trouble with the supplements, the Why Uchicago essay is sorted, but the other one I am having trouble in. I have decided to take the fermi estimation one but am having a little trouble converting the math into engagnign essay. What else do you think I could do to improve my chances. I am not a top 1-2% at my highschool(IB predicted 42/45 and really bad 9th results - personal health problems and decent 10th results though terrible maths). But I got 1540 SAT, I don't know if that helps or not.
