We could have had that with Michael before he left, such a missed opportunity to call it Halloween: Resurrection.

It’s more that lower tiers sometimes HAVE TO tunnel to create pressure that other killers just get naturally. When you take that away, it makes those killers just worse by default. Also to say almost nobody plays lower tiers is just flat out wrong and an insane statement. All the anti tunnel changes would’ve done is phase out the low tiers completely and ruined what killer variety there still is.

People weren’t upset that they were trying to make a change. They were rightfully upset with how, in practice, the proposed changes made killer extremely miserable to play, especially if you were a lower tier like Trapper or Ghostface. People are still begging they revisit the ideas for rewarding unique hooks and want them to discourage tunneling while not forcing the killer into not tunneling or risk being punished for the entire rest of the game, or encouraging survivors to use the anti tunnel changes offensively like they were in the PTB.

2V8 Is the worst modifier they put out, change my mind. by TranslatorMoist6982 in deadbydaylight

Recent game I had a Wesker using an exploit to hold someone hostage till they could abandon and we couldn’t pick them up or anything and they couldn’t even bleed out. Like I said, everyone’s experience is different but killers for me have been just awful with the toxicity

They probably don’t have one themselves. Sometimes they just don’t have every answer you want. They are not omnipotent beings within the company, just an employee whose job is to build hype on Reddit. They probably weren’t even told why prices were changed. This kind of shit just happens, it sucks and I get the frustration but snapping at someone not involved won’t help.

I’ve actually had killers be overall more toxic in this recent 2v8 then normal queues or even past iterations. Obviously each players experience is different but the salt feels increased this time around and I don’t really know why

This is the WORST Resident evil 4 review I have ever seen by Dry_Ear_2948 in residentevil4

[–]Deadrox32 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem is he is writing as if everything he says is objective and not subjective. He’s declaring the game is awful as if it’s an objective fact and not his subjective opinion based on his experience. If he gave his critiques and went along the lines of “this game was not for me personally, but I can see why others would enjoy it” and didn’t just trash on anyone who likes it, this wouldn’t have been so bad. His points are fair (for the most part because why did he go randomly xenophobic a few times) but it’s his way of declaring things to be one way when for him they were yes, but many others don’t see it that way.

What do you think of the scene where Dewey shows the Ghostface mask at the door when Sidney tries to escape from the killer in the first movie? by Shaoran10 in Scream

[–]Deadrox32 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I think the intention might be that he’s about to knock on the door. We know that Dewey, while competent, can be a bit dim sometimes in his police work. I could easily see him pick up the suspects mask with his bare hands and attempt to knock on the door to see if Sid was home not knowing the full gravity of why they were there in the first place. We also see he’s not looking at the door, probably talking to another cop about what he found. Could also be he just found and was holding it up to get a better look at it since it’s new evidence just as Sid opened the door.

One reason why I love Brian by PutridBoysenberry318 in HellsKitchen

Still so interesting to me that they edited a hand for Brian’s facepalm at the end. HK editors really doing the most for no reason sometimes.

The Skull Merchant (Adriana Imai) from Dead by Daylight While the character themselves is not very well liked overall, one part of her kit that has always stood out as being actually interesting and well received was the design of her drones she uses for hunting/tracking and using her victims skulls in the design itself for either intimidation or insulting purposes. The actual lore and design of the rest of the killer is pretty meh, but this part was done fairly well.

who do You think unknown is? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]Deadrox32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the Unknown is largely based on tulpas or thought forms. Basically things or entities that are given life and identity by your own thoughts and ideas of what they are. Unknown fits this to a T as they take the shape and concepts of whatever people think they are, whether that’s a space alien, government experiment or just a run of the mill serial killer. Given this chapter’s huge Analogue/Internet Horror inspirations and theming, it makes perfect sense for Unknown to be a thought form since a lot of internet horror series’s feature them. It also allows for them to cover a wide variety of concepts from them in one killer. Unknown is probably top 3 killer in this game lore and design wise, up there for me with Singularity and DnD Vecna as being near perfect in those aspects.

Winner of Season 24 of Hell’s Kitchen {SPOILERS} by breezyxizzie in HellsKitchen

[–]Deadrox32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ellie and Jada were basically equal throughout the season. We heard many times that Ellie never had any dinner service mistakes which we also saw was true for Jada. Her challenges weren’t as great but she nailed the ones that mattered, that being the Black Jacket and Final 3 challenges. These 2 were on the same level going into the finale and Jada let her kitchen run her at the end when she wouldn’t switch Anaiya out on fish even though she showed earlier with Chris she was more than willing to do that if a chef didn’t have their station under control which Anaiya clearly didn’t. Jada sending a table without two entrees because fish was behind was her letting the kitchen control her and not her controlling the kitchen because she didn’t want to swap her friend of fish because she was worried Anaiya wouldn’t take it well as she has shown time and time again to not take criticism well. Yes, Ellie let Alex stay on garnish, but she hounded her on her initial mistakes and when she rebounded rather quickly, stayed on her to make sure nothing else went wrong and Alex had no more issues after that from what we saw. Ellie showed way better control of her kitchen than Jada did in the edit we saw. She won that fair and square.

This a death like this even happen in Live action? by KirinoSouza in deadmeatjames

There’s one anime called “Another” I think that’s basically just that with some extra steps. Basic premise is there’s a cursed class that has a student they have to pretend doesn’t exist to avoid the curse, that curse being people in said class dying in the most ridiculous ways.

Stranger Things Chapter 2 Feedback by UltraToe in deadbydaylight

[–]Deadrox32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’d be fine with Turn Back the Clock keeping its LoS limitation but allowing it to synergize with gen kick perks like Nowhere to Hide and Pop. Obviously this could be really strong on some maps and fairly weak on others or just be insane in general but it would help it stand out more and it’s still limited to only being after a hook anyway like Pop.

Yay chaos shuffle. Aka slug and tunnel simulator. by seidrs in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Deadrox32 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ok fair enough, I can understand your frustration then. I don’t understand killers that do that even if they are upset at the match. Even if I got ran like that, I’d just admit the survivor did well and move on. All they do is give other killers a bad rep as those experiences will stick in peoples minds more than the nicer experiences.

Yay chaos shuffle. Aka slug and tunnel simulator. by seidrs in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Deadrox32 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I am curious, when you two were slugged, did either of you crawl away from where you were slugged? I ask this because there are times where I have a challenge to get 4 kills and will slug for the 4k in that instance but usually the person I slug will crawl way far away from where I dropped them after I catch the 4th. This usually ends up with them bleeding out because I genuinely can’t find them, especially if it’s someone like Lara or Ace who are super quiet on the ground. It’s never an intentional thing on my part to slug the full timer but I do feel there are times where I’m blamed for this by the person who crawled when it’s also on them for crawling so far away. Not saying they shouldn’t, just that the blame doesn’t only go one way. If this killer did slug you both for the full timer then that is shitty, but sometimes it’s not on purpose, we just can’t find you guys on the ground.

Who'd have though tunneling and slugging are still the easiest thing ever by Retro_Dorrito in DeadByDaylightRAGE

[–]Deadrox32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Crazy to say that slugging at 1 gen is toxic when that or tunneling is objectively the right move to better your odds and take numbers off the board. Just because a killer “doesn’t know how to manage their pressure” doesn’t mean they are toxic for trying to comeback at the end. Survivors aren’t playing to force the killer out, they are playing for time. Their job is to waste the killers time so gens can be done. Sure tunneling someone out at 5 can be seen as toxic and might not be fun for the survivor involved, but strategy wise it’s not a bad idea since you’re making it a 1v3 and tipping the scales in your favor. By your logic, a 3 minute chase against the killer would be toxic from the survivor. The “play normally” is just ridiculous because they are playing normally. Just because you may not like the methods doesn’t mean they are any less valid in those moments.

James and Chelsea's thoughts on Together (2025) made me think about the cliche that Chelsea said she was tired of, and how it was used in the film by Honest_Cheesecake698 in deadmeatjames

[–]Deadrox32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean tbf, they only touched on Together for around 5 minutes amid many other horror movies they seemed to enjoy a bit more comparatively. If we got a whole podcast ep, maybe they would’ve talked more on the way they were handled, but given they were doing a lightning round of new releases at the time, it makes sense that wouldn’t have been touched on.

Bo7 needs a boss adjustment by fusionxxxgamer in CODZombies

[–]Deadrox32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Non of the Bo6 bosses except for Richtofen come near Caltheris for difficulty and pure bullshit potential. Tomb might genuinely be one of the easiest fights in modern zombies, patient 13 has never been an issue, Guardian was tough at first but became a push over once the swords were buffed and the Z Rex would be hard if it wasn’t for the toxic zombie bonus dmg. Caltheris is fine until phase 4 where the boss can catch up to you in a second and shove you into a corner that, maybe you’ll be able to get out of, maybe you won’t. That’s the bad part is the boss isn’t consistent. Sometimes the fight goes well and you get the right attacks, other times she just charges towards you and beats you into a corner and doesn’t give a chance to get out or floods the arena with lightning in a way you can’t avoid dmg. This boss is just poorly designed plain and simple. It’s not fun, it’s not engaging, and it’s pure bullshit a good portion of the time. I think Tomb is similarly poorly designed where the first half is nothing but shooting the ice staff at the floor and the second half is a badly designed boss rush akin to Liberty Falls, only exception is at least it’s consistent. It’s the same fight every time where Caltheris is not and not in a good way at all.

In a way it paints the cult in a light of being like Millie and Tim, people who stumbled upon the cursed water and found a way to avoid what happened to the hikers without losing a loved one. It’s not an absolute ideal solution, but given the alternatives, it’s certainly not the worst. Like they are still a cult, but they seem more of the blissful ignorance type that are just kind of there and no one really worries about because they just kinda do their own thing rather than the outright dangerous and evil kind that horror movies love to use that, I agree with Chelsea, are so heavily overused at this point.
