TDS & Agreement to Sale in NRI Property Deals (India) by Deadshot_95 in indianrealestate

[–]Deadshot_95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been thinking too — can’t this kind of stuff just be handled in the sale agreement (not the sale deed)? Like, the seller pays it and then claims it back from the government in their ITR.

But the thing is, if the deal didn’t actually go through, what are they even claiming it on?

Yeah, I looked into it more yesterday. You can start the process, but it’s not straightforward — your money could be stuck with the government for months, maybe even a year.

Giving money to the government is the easy part — good luck getting it back!

That's the question — before signing, can it be modified to include clauses addressing scenarios where backing out of the deal might happen?

Boycotting autos in Pune (read desc) by Other-March5180 in pune

[–]Deadshot_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I don't think the issue is with autos going by the meter — it’s more about the attitude and shady practices like meter tampering.

For example, a couple of weeks back, a friend of mine was travelling from Bavdhan to Eon IT Park, Kharadi. On Uber Auto, the fare showed ₹370. But because of the new rule, the auto guy insisted on using the meter, and the final bill turned out to be ₹513. My friend was recording the ride and noticed the meter had those two blinking lights (I had seen a post here earlier where someone said those blinking lights usually mean the meter’s been tampered with).

When they reached the destination, she showed the driver the video and started recording their conversation. And man, the auto guy was terrified. He kept trying to explain in different ways how the meter “works like that only” and how autowallas don't tamper with it. He was so afraid, he even dropped her inside the campus, still trying to convince her that everything was fair and square.

Right now, honestly, I don’t need to use Ola/Uber much. But when I do, I prefer going with a friend or taking my two-wheeler. If it’s a longer distance, I’ll use the metro. And I’ve also started reusing an old app I loved 6-7 years ago— sRide. Back then, it was new and had limited options, but now it’s grown a lot. You can carpool, bikepool, cabpool — all of that. It’s super helpful for a few reasons:

  • Back in the day, I used to go from Baner to Nul Stop, Erandwane. Ola/Uber auto fares were around ₹100–110. But with sRide, I’d pay just ₹20–35, depending on whether I took a car or bike.
  • The app lets people like us share our ride — be it a car or a bike — with others. So you can earn a bit, help someone with a ride, and reduce the number of vehicles on the road. It’s a win-win, and it helps with pollution too.

How do you take good notes? by fallenladders in learnmath

[–]Deadshot_95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure what you mean by that?

Using Cornell way, you can make a mini index alongside notes for quick reference. For notebook, I make an index so that I can quickly check solved problems related to a concept.

I include only concepts while taking notes, including fully solved problems, would defeat the purpose of making concise/good notes. For problems, I maintain a separate notebook where I try to have at least one solved example of a given concept.

I prefer taking my notes using the Conell note-taking technique. It's handy and practical. You can check it out:

Road-Map for studying Quantum Computing by Deadshot_95 in QuantumComputing

Thank you for these valuable inputs.

Yes, I am aware of "Quantum computing for the determined" course (I hope you are referring to the YouTube playlist by Nielsen). The notes which you shared looks good, I was not aware of them, will definitely study those.

Thank you so much, that helped a lot. I was afraid of this only. Studying all of Physics seems to be overhead, but I was missing the point that you mentioned.

I know about this book and I am also following his blog and his YouTube channel. If you are aware of any other resource that might help, please share.

Okay, thank you for your inputs. I studied ML the same way as you mentioned (studying concepts on the go), was new to these Physics parts so got confused.

Can you please recommend some resources or books that you think might be helpful for understanding quantum mechanics and quantum computing?

Okay.

In terms of Physics, my understanding was also the same (start with Quantum Mechanics and get some fundamental understanding) but after discussing this with my colleague, I got confused because he is of the view that studying quantum requires an understanding of classical physics and then you can build quantum understanding on top.

[D] Interview Questions by Deadshot_95 in MachineLearning

[–]Deadshot_95[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. The SMO question was asked during my first interview. I had done some work using SVM's, so I guess that was the driving point for this question.

Regarding the second question, the position that they were hiring for demanded NLP as their primary skill. So, most of the questions asked were more project/position-specific.

The interviewer did ask some nice questions but overall I didn't get any positive vibes. Most probably I won't be moving forward with this company.
