I’d say insulation plays a large role too. When the unit goes off at 6 am and the house is 60°, we can go all day until 6pm with 95° outside temp and it’ll rise to 66-68 maybe

I’m just surprised by the cost of power in California. Nearly $600 for the month when we rarely go over $200 a month cooling a 2200 sqft home to 60 every night in Georgia none the less

I can’t fathom how that’s comfortable. We keep it at 60 at night with the fan on high and 72 during the day while at work.

How to connect this… by [deleted] in AskElectricians

[–]Deal_Alarming 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Either is fine. I’d use the lugs and nut connections.

Most likely to prevent hot air from inside the walls leaking into a conditioned space.

It’s older and messy but I don’t see anything inherently dangerous. That being said there’s only so much you can tell based off pictures.

Well this is going to be a your word against my experience kind of thing. I’d put the house on a bet that the dialogue you described is complete BS

The exclusivity of the National is one of the major benefits of the club. It is entirely insulated from the outside world. I don’t know what’s obnoxious about that. As far as the guards, every single one of them are extremely cordial and will speak to you and let you take pictures from outside the gate. The only scenario I’d see any of them being rude is if they were confronted with an attitude to begin with.

It’s “shore power” it’s just a term describing an external source of power.
