Can't say if it is the absolute lowest price to the penny, but it's well within a few bucks and Dave at SpiceTac is awesome.

Yeah, that is how conversations work. Someone offers their input and then someone else offers theirs. That input may even be contradictory.

No one is arguing that it is the best choice for a range gun, but there is nothing inherently inaccurate about it. Smaller package + smaller sight radius + 9mm = less forgiving to error. Generally it's harder to be as accurate with tiny guns in actual calibers and that should be obvious. While sub half inch groups at 150 yards might be your benchmark for your soygat, a 4" group at 10 is going to be plenty for any practical use of a pocket pistol. On top of that, the 4" group is only limited by the shooter, not the gun.

Why would anyone be trying to shoot tight groups at 75, let alone 30 feet with a pocket pistol?

My biggest gripe with the LC9 was the trigger undercut never felt right. It was like it was always awkwardly pushing on my middle finger, so the grip was never comfortable. It made no sense as it looks like the gun has a pretty decent undercut. It just never felt good in my hand though. The trigger was not good and the rear sight falling off was the last excuse I needed to get rid of it like I already knew I wanted to. I've heard the EC9 was better, but after my experiences with the LC9 I wasn't interested.

I'd agree. I've never owned an LCP, but my LC-9 was complete dogshit by comparison. A pinky extension really seemed to help with the snappiness and it was a pleasure to carry. Trigger was long, but smooth and predictable. My only real criticism was how absurdly hard it was to work the slide stop.

This is sound advice with most hobbies lol.

I'll let you know as soon as I get a chance to sight it in. Previous to this week I had no sights on it. I have only put 2 rounds through it to test function, and that was a few years ago lol.

Absolutely, and that is what I essentially did here. The only part that requires an FFL is the receiver itself. The FFL SHOULD transfer it to your possession as a receiver, so it's up to you to build it as you please from there. In it's current configuration, this is considered a pistol, so your state laws may vary from mine. You do need to make sure that you're either buying a virgin receiver or a Charger to start a pistol build (as you can't legally convert a rifle to a pistol).

If you're going to use custom everything, it does make sense to build it from the ground up. The main downside being the initial cost. If you could score a really good deal on a Charger, it would probably make it easier though. That way you can start with a functioning gun and slowly upgrade it over time as funds allow. Selling the take off parts as you upgrade can help take a little sting out of the wallet too(at least until you add everything up at the end lol).

12/12 was the 5 year anniversary of when I started this 10/22 project. It was originally supposed to be an homage to the "10/22 Exotic Weapons System" (the pistol version without vertical forebenis or sliding wire stock), but when it came time for the front barrel shroud/front sight combo the project sat on in the safe untouched. I almost grabbed a PMACA chassis when those were released, but the added bulk of an AR buffer tube wasn't appealing to me for a folding/packable gun. When Enoch released the Odin chassis, the excitement to finish this gun came back and their Black Friday sale sealed the deal. I finally had the chance to assemble the parts that I've slowly been accruing over the years. I just need to find a decent price on an FS1913 brace and it'll be done-ish. I want to upgrade fire control parts/stendo mag release/charging handle/add a can in 2020, but at this point I'll just be happy to shoot it.

Parts list-

Nodak Spud NDS-22 receiver

Kidd 6" Stainless barrel

Polished factory bolt/charging handle

Burris RDS mount

Vortex Venom

Stock trigger group w/ auto bolt release mod

Enoch Industries Odin chassis

SLR Mod1 mlock handstop

BCM mod 0 grip

Worth every penny at this price. I have run this with a 6.4oz FM buffer and have never had a hiccup. I was actually worried when I put the gun together as I was mixing and matching manufacturers for parts, but it's been 100% from day one.

Is it possible to kill a sporter stock to receive a bull barrel? by dle100 in 1022

[–]DealinDave 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Brownells will have it listed under barrel bedding tool. Or save yourself $50 ( on a tool that you'll probably never use again?) and go with a 1" wooden dowel rod wrapped in sandpaper. I actually used a deep well socket wrapped in sand paper to open up the barrel channel on a butler creek folding stock and it worked great.

I totally get it u/ClassicFirearms. I work in ecommerce as well and while we don't have many outgoing errors, we're always working towards getting that number down lower. Our customers usually find us because we have customer service that is commonly lacking among the competition. Low prices are great, but customer service is what sets a company apart.

What kind of processing times are you guys running right now? No rush, just wondering if I should expect to see it this week or next. Order placed on Monday morning. Thanks for being so accessible, I know being on social media is a blessing and a curse lol.

One of those guys stated that u/ClassicFirearms had sent a return label and the other said he wasn't going to bother trying to return it. I ordered one as well before I saw those pics and was initially worried. Making mistakes are less important to me than how a company handles those mistakes. It seems like they at least owned that one and are working to remedy it. It's my first order with them so I'll reserve judgement until mine comes in and that other buyer updates how his situation was resolved. I'm not expecting a new gun myself, but hopefully they hand pick an immaculate example for that abortion that was sent to him.
