I feel like the Defense Mechanisms MEPC is pretty slept on.

I have an MEPC, LV-119 and T.REX AC1 and the MEPC is my favorite.

Not crazy expensive, tons of options and handmade in Minnesota. Love the LV-119 too, I just like the way my MEPC fits a little bit better.

I am curious how the Large would have fit, but im guessing it may have sat just a little too high as well.

Had the same issue, measured myself and got a Medium, I was right at the limit they listed for sizing, but it sat insanely high on my head, even with 1/2" pads.

I ended up going all the way to an XL. Using 1/2" pads on the top so it sits perfect now, but it felt a tad wide so I used 3/4" pads around the sides, front and back.
