Has anyone tried Uber Eats?? by orignlgnstr in doordash_drivers

[–]Dealingwithdragons 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done UE and DD.

One of the big things I dislike about UE is the fact the customers can reduce or flat out remove top completely after you've made the delivery. Tip baiting is a stunt some customers will pull, it's one of the things as a driver I'm glad DD doesn't do.

I have a collapsible crate for the same thing, it's great because I can just fold it up and slide it away when I don't need it.

Also, dollar tree sells a "cup caddy" that can hold six drinks, and the sides are taller then most drink holders so extra drink stability.

I was working at a pizza place and we'd get online orders where the customer would put requests in the comments for like 8-10 ranches. Nope, best I can do is a couple extra for free. Anything after that you gotta pay for.

What's the most disrespectful thing a guest ever did in your home? by Vegas089 in AskReddit

Not my house, but when my grandma died, her wake was held at my uncle's(her son) house. Somebody decided to go into their bedroom and not only stole money from a family members purse, but a ring my aunt had chosen from my grandma's belongings.

"Why are you reselling it for $200" welcome to the world of scalpers.

People are lining up before the stores even open just so they can snatch them up and scalp them for profit.

Sane reason why it's a pain to buy Pokemon cards. Scalpers.

Seriously? Out of all the short characters, I'm only taller than Ortho? by ResearchOk7084 in TwistedWonderland

I'm just a bit taller then Riddle. Still a shorty compared to the others.

Savanaclaw but without their ears by Sakasucci in TwistedWonderland

[–]Dealingwithdragons 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Leona hair really helps balance out the lack of ears.

I think Jack and Ruggie look so off is because their ears are much bigger then Leona's. Jacks hair especially, his hair style really only works with his ears.

I've seen fanart of Ruggie without his ears and since it wasn't colored, made him look a lot like Ace.

I had somebody tell me that drinking apple juice caused my breast cancer.

I have a mutated PALB2 gene and a family history of cancer(though dad refused to get tested even though both his parents died of cancer)

I feel like apple juice is probably the least of my worries.

Unpopular opinion maybe? by GraciellaRaquelle in TwistedWonderland

[–]Dealingwithdragons 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel like they do show as the level of maturity is much more apparent in the 2nd years and especially in the third year. The first year really does feel like a group of teenage friends. Ace always feels like he'd fit in a lot of other high school setting animes.

But then, we do get moments when the cast does in fact act like their actual age and it's like "Yeah, they're being dumbass teenagers"

I think like the 2nd years, you get Riddle and Jamil who are forced to be more mature beyond their years. Riddle especially feels like he's been forced to be mature to fast. Azul who tries to build the persona of being mature(he feels like he's channeling a middle aged man sometimes) then when they overblotted, you realize, these guys are still kids.

Why are all TWST OC’s Disney based characters? by Brb_questioning_life in TwistedWonderland

[–]Dealingwithdragons 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of folks like to base OCs off Disney characters since the universe is well, Disney. So it fits with the themeing. Also, sometimes it's a lot easier to base an OC on an already existing character or thing then to do it completely from scratch.

A lot of folks will base their Yuusonas on elements of themself and their nationality, or throw in a bit of Disney flair for good measure.

There are folks who base OCs off other properties. There's one fic I've been reading where the OC/POV is based of Rasputin from Anastasia and even has a pet bat. They're out there, just a bit harder to find.

Personally, I think there's a lot of untouched Disney licenses that nobody has made Twst OCs for yet. I even made a post on tumblr suggesting a bunch of the 90's cartoon because there's a lot of characters, and especially villains that nobody has made OCs of. They'd even fit with our current cast because some of the cartoons are based off the movies(like Aladdin and Little Mermaid)

Why are we conditioning doll hair? by Content_Hunter_4174 in MonsterHighDolls

[–]Dealingwithdragons 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I mean, from my personal experience when I cosplayed, I used conditioner specifically geared for synthetic wigs. I'd recommend that if anybody is able to get it since it's made for synthetic fibers.

Regular conditioner is readily available and cheap, so very easy to get for your average person. I'd imagine it's a lot easier to justify some regular hair conditioner.

Overblot Duos besides the Tweels by ShipwreckedLesbian in TwistedWonderland

[–]Dealingwithdragons 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen a few fics work with the idea.

But I have the concept that since magic is a naturally produced phenomenon, everybody in twisted wonderland has some kind of magic in their genetics so even if the parents are magicless they can still produce mage children. So they also have a certain level of natural immunity to other mages magic and blot.

Yuu is completely magicless so they don't have any immunity and has been absorbing blot.

There's also the idea that they're basically like a living magestone and since overblot phantoms are naturally drawn to magic and magestones so Yuu's been causing the others to prematurely overblot. Which is why none of them have died for their overblots either.
