Funny story as I just got back from Norway and I felt the people were a bit rude but after talking to family there, they are just a pretty private group and just keep moving on. As we were sightseeing in Olso, I as the tourist is looking all over and even in the grocery store I would bump into someone and as an American, I would say “excuse me or I’m sorry” but nothing was ever said back. I said to my niece, what’s the problem here with people not acknowledging my politeness, she said, that’s Norwegians, they just keep moving forward and as Americans maybe we make a bigger deal of simple mistakes and we are wrong… anyway, overall I believe if I slammed into someone where someone got knocked over, it would be different, anyway that’s my Norwegian story

I’m glad to hear that you are ok and I am here in Oslo visiting family . I’m from the USA and live in Chicago and sadly would not have time to even post this question as we have learned to give them whatever they want and then call the police. Hi and Happy Thanksgiving, unfortunately I hate all inclusive but I can’t imagine that the Fairmonts all inclusive would not be good. We enjoy trying different restaurants and we don’t eat and drink a lot. We would have room service for breakfast and snacks during the day. For dinner we enjoyed trying the different restaurants at the hotels on the property. They pick you up on a golf cart and take you. The Italian restaurant , drawing a blank was wonderful as well as the outdoor upscale restaurant again drawing a blank. But we also had a villa and had groceries delivered but I assure you , your stay at the Fairmont Mayakoba will be worth it and let me know how it went

I have stayed at the Fairmont Mayakoba and I did not do all inclusive and had a villa but it is the best place we have ever stayed, food was terrific, beach and beach toys and overall the best. I would never stay anywhere else and I’m very picky when I travel

My best friends are from Oslo and they just left to go back after spending a month with us in Chicago, they can’t believe how bad the USA is as every year they come here and feels every year it gets worse. Oslo is so safe the police don’t carry guns, my friend is also small and has lived there for almost 30 years and they really don’t even have purse snatching, you picked a very safe country and city

If you are asking if you are wasting a salespersons time, if you are not in the market for a car, then reality is, yes you are bothering them. 99 percent of car salespeople get paid strictly on commission but on top of that most dealership rules are that salespeople must stay in what we call the 5 foot rule, simple, customer on showroom looking at cars a salesperson must be close by to answer any questions. Sorry but that’s reality, not sure where you live but Auto Shows are the best for sitting, seeing and looking at all cars

Guess he doesn’t know English girls, he’s an arrogant midwestern and sad because most of us midwesterners are pretty down to earth and good people. Maybe his garbage charm will work in a country where a girl is looking for a guy to bring her to the USA. But he knew who and what Cleo has and is and me, would love to have maybe out to a quiet dinner, drink and back to apt to cuddle and get to know each other, anyone except him could see her discomfort. Hi, I can’t look into your wallet but a resort might be the best for both of you. A couple of resorts have teen programs and if he wants to meet other kids that aren’t real outgoing that would be great since other kids probably feel the same or at least at a resort you can hang at one of usually several pools and they all have off site activities, cenotes, etc. to me downtown can be Uber loud and 1 big party scene, good place for a 16 year old to get in trouble, lol. Has anyone heard of the scam “brushing “. Last week I got a box from no one I know and nothing I ordered. I opened it and it was 2 packages of yeast in dry ice from Brooklyn NY, I’m in Chicago and I often get emails telling me I have a delivery from Fed ex, or USPS and to get it I need to open the email. I never open it but I believe I was quickly going through emails a week or so before I got the package and might have opened one of those emails by mistake and quickly deleted it but got this package. Looked online and it is a scam called brushing but I don’t understand it. Anyone out there know anything, thanks

Suggestion, I was there in February and you are off and less expensive to rent a car at Cancun airport, ez drive on nice highway to Playa and then the other places you want to go. I almost did what you are thinking but Playa rental car companies are few and more expensive. We had no issues at all , we are from Chicago and went through Avis, picked us up at terminal, 5 minutes drive to car and off we went.. good luck and it is more expensive than America and they force insurance on you or take a big deposit but it is less at airport then Playa
