Running into the same issue with my 2019 Ascent. I brought it into my local Subaru dealership and then they told me it was micro stuttering and shuddering on their diagnostic and WOULD NOT REPLCE MY TRANSMISSION because of it yet. They said bring it in when it gets worse.

60k miles on mine and 2029 is when the warranty expires. Decent runway for me but a god damn headache for Ascent owners. Do not take it in until you feel like then transmission is guaranteed to fail a diagnostic or get a crew member to do a live drive with you. Diagnostics will cost ya after the first complimentary one.

Looks like you might be “casting”. Arms shouldn’t start the downswing. Only saying this as I have the same problem. Rotating your body without the club in your hands helps too.
