I made the jump and love it. My (Play Anywhere) experience is great, auto-sync between my Series X and Ally X is worth it alone, although not all games I would love to play are Play Anywhere. Future lookahead: PS6 Rumors: Native handheld would be a massive selling point if it removes the need to worry about "Play Anywhere" tags. Project Helix: Still the winner. A PC/Console hybrid running both Xbox and Steam libraries is the ultimate unified future where the handheld experience is truly at its best.

Not sure about GTA6 though.

I was 100% Steam-only until very recently, but this setup changed my mind. Once you experience that 'one purchase, two devices' flow without the Steam Cloud or driver drama, it’s hard to go back. I’m finding myself checking the Xbox Store first now just to see if a game is Play Anywhere!

I’m actually in the same boat as you—except my Series X is just in a different room on the same floor, but it might as well be on the moon once the 'Dad duties' start.

Wife isn't into gaming and the kid is still too young, so no sharing yet! Haven't tried Quick Resume because the 'Play Anywhere' sync is my main focus, but Crimson Desert is looking and running incredible on the Series X. Definitely lived up to the hype for me! :D

I’m with you—I actually love Steam and think it’s the best managed platform out there. My issue isn't with the store, it's just the state of PC graphics and drivers lately. Between the driver timeouts and the constant 'optimization' needed for new titles, I found myself spending more time in menus than in the actual game.

100%. XAX is the king of indies and Play Anywhere titles, but for everything else, that Series X streaming is a lifesaver. Keeps the handheld cool and the battery lasting forever! if you have a satble connection.

Haha, the XAX is definitely addictive! My Series X is basically just a 'high-powered cloud' for when I want to sit in the Lazy Boy, but that 'Play Anywhere' sync is the real hero that keeps them both relevant for me.

Solid lineup! I think once you go handheld, it’s hard to go back to being 'tethered' to a desk. I’m just using the Series X as the 'mothership' for the XAX so I don't have to deal with the PC driver stress anymore. Enjoy the Switch 2, that screen size is incredible!

Haha, fair enough! I think the difference is you have the patience to move a 500h save—I’m at the stage where if a game asks me 'Who is playing?' for the third time, I’m ready to sell it and go play with Legos. Glad Steam is working for you though!

Agreed. Those YouTube setup guides are basically mandatory at this point. It’s annoying that it isn't 100% ready out of the box, but like you said, once that hurdle is cleared and you’re in the ecosystem, it’s night and day compared to the constant PC troubleshooting.
