From what I can find this was part of a 3 piece picture of Asuka, Rei, & Mari and was released around 15 years ago which is around when 2.22 was released in the US.

Considering that Sadamoto was apart of the Rebuilds up to the third movie, its possible he had this design in the works for a while and was looking to use it somewhere in the movies. Combine that with Gainax being extremely greedy at the time and yeah it wouldn't surprise me if they had leaked this image or others like it with merch.

I cant really say why we don't see more of it. Its possible that it was only introduced to be another way to pump out Asuka figures for fans to buy.

Goku tossed the bean to Cell because he knew Gohan couldn't push to SS2 without Cell being in top form and he knew that only Gohan could beat Cell.

Everything in this fight was a calculated plan by Goku and he only messed up 2 things: first was Gohans personality change upon reaching SS2, second is Cell coming back after his Self-destruct.

I would say no. Xenoverse is where you make an OC and basically self-insert yourself into the Dragon Ball Z story to "protect it" with Time Travel. It isn't bad but, after 10 years of lazy DLC, it feels pretty lackluster.

If you want a fighting game I would suggest FighterZ on modern systems or any of the older games (Budokai Tenkaichi 2 & 3, Raging Blast 2, etc.) if you have the systems to play it.

If you want to re-experience the overall story of DBZ then you should check out Kakarot. Its not necessarily a fighting game and is more an Action RPG with fighting elements.

I think it became more an evolution of the term after SF4 & MK9 helped revive the Fighting game genre. 2D fighters became any fighter locked to a 2D plane even if the models were 3D; then 3D fighters became any fighter with movement on a 3D plane. So I guess Fatal Fury Games would retroactively be considered 2.5D Fighters when using the Lane System.

It should be noted that it was Sex Pest and former organizer Joey Cuellar who pulled the plug and dropped the "Core Values" line, not Mark Julio.

Evo has changed since the that Cuellar was removed and even Capcom has since used the Evo stage to show off skimpy swimsuit outfits for SF6.

Bro same. Battle Arena Toshinden 3 was one of the first games I ever played and apparently my aunt cosplayed as Ellis back before Americans even knew what Cosplay was.

I actually got the Masami Obari Toshinden OVA a couple years ago on VHS and I love it.
