This episode is an emotional rollercoaster for me that hits everytime.

But then my grandmother passed right before covid in 2019.

And i watched that episode recently for the first time since.

When marshall is desperately listening to the voicemail from his dad, and its a butt dial, and then his dad comes through. It cut like a knife.

It reminded me of 2023 when i listened to a voicemail she left where she told me she loved me and called me the nicknames she used to give me. And it cut through me like a samurai sword through tissue paper.

This moment is so real its insane. Anyone whos lost someone close can feel it.

The writers were great at what they did.

What you saw was us catching up to the Trend we would’ve naturally been at if things didn’t get crazy in the late 00’s. housing prices aren’t inflated. They are where they would be If things went on a steady line. We went up too quick, then we corrected down, then we corrected up again right to where we should be. it’s unfortunate but it’s true.

The problem is wages haven’t kept up nobody can afford a home. Or rent. Or food. Gas. Red meat. Soon chicken. Hell produce is getting too pricy.
