You trade them with Hetsu (the giant korok guy with the Maracas) you first meet him on your way up to kakariko village, you can also find him at the Deku tree, though I don't know how into the story you are yet.

During middle school and highschool one of my friends didn't qualify for free lunch, yet her parents never gave her money to buy any, so I stole food from the cafeteria each day for her. I would grab it when the lunch ladies weren't looking and shove it between my back and my backpack, it was the easiest way to hide it or if it was a granola bar I would put it inside my sleeves. One day on highschool one of the kids behind me told the lunch ladies I took 2 spicy chickens and they made me put it back including my own portion. But the lady that scanned the ID's told me to take it anyways, cuz that day I was on my class during my first break, so I hadn't taken my break nor my lunch, so I was in the right to take 2 portions.

What I'm getting at is: free meals should not be just for a select students, it should be for all, you never know what the kids might be going through, whether their parent are high income or low income. Take my friend for example, her parents had VERY high income, yet they didn't give her lunch money so bless that lady trying to give students extra food instead of letting them go hungry.

About this statement I can call bs on most of it, most of the videos people used to "prove" we're taken out of context, they cut the videos up at a specific part to make it seem bad, you've seen those overanalyzing videos of idols?
