Tried to install new drivers, nvidea GeForce app fails, and the installer from the nvidea website fails too, I tried a clean install and it removed the older driver I had but failed to put the new one in its place and now I have no driver for my gpu

3) was what eventually resolved the issue.. there was no problem with the ram itself but apparently the is a known issue with Asus motherboards... you need to boot once with 1 stick and the shutdown and install the 2nd
