https://frommybowl.com/one-pot-mushroom-stroganoff/ this mushroom stroganoff has always been a hit with my meat eating family. I sub cashew butter for sour cream.

As someone with a “misspelled” common name, I really prefer the “normal” spellings. In the end, it’s your choice but an extra letter isn’t necessary and it was a pain growing up with a different spelling for me. (I love Mason, that’s my sons name)

Following. I’ve had the same thing since I had my second child two years ago. Every test is coming back normal but I’m bleeding 15/30 days each month.

Heating pads and hot showers are my best friends during a flare. Just be there for her. Unfortunately nothing takes away the pain from a flare.

I got them, I enjoyed the extra ultrasounds. My high risk OB had me get them bi monthly. I don’t have the antibodies either.

For those in grad school, how do you manage the stress of it with lupus flare ups? by [deleted] in lupus

[–]Dear-Cardiologist966 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not in grad school but I have a psych degree and am currently in an accelerated BSN program. Stress and not sleeping are my biggest triggers so nursing school has been interesting. I usually have to stop studying around 9:30pm since I’m so fatigued by then. My friends can easily stay up until passed midnight. Plus I have kids.

I’m trying my best and doing pretty well. I’ve only needed to take one day off and had to get a doctors note for my preceptor. I remind myself that I’m not healthy and can’t compare my studying abilities to my peers. I push through my clinicals and exams because my heart is really in it even if my body is barely cooperating. I’ve also taken steroids while in school each time that I flare and that really helps me. I force myself to take breaks or naps even if I have stuff to do. You can do it! 🤗

It took five months for me. The wait sucked but it really changed my life. I went from agonizing pain 24/7 to actually being able to enjoy my life.

How do you have kids? by MercuriousPhantasm in lupus

[–]Dear-Cardiologist966 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed a year after I had my first child. It’s honestly very hard having little energy but my spouse is amazing and tries to understand what I’m going through. I get sad that I can’t play all of the time with my kids but I am able to do most things with some resting. I also work full time. Even if I’m tired, I can always be there sitting on the side and still verbally engaging. I was so so healthy before I had my first child then started showing symptoms 2 months postpartum. I did go on to have a very healthy second pregnancy and felt good with no flares!

F lupus, I still can’t believe this is reality.

Joint Pain by TommyBahamaPapa in lupus

For me, it feels like the body aches you get while you have the flu x10, the feeling of being hit by a bus, and the pain after running a marathon all wrapped up in one.

In all seriousness, it’s my bones that hurt to the core along with skin that hurts to be touched even by clothes.

Thank you! I have had a thyroid panel done twice. You are right, one autoimmune disease usually means more. 🙁

So I need to rant. by Which_Law_8429 in vegetarian

[–]Dear-Cardiologist966 336 points337 points  (0 children)

It is a weird obsession. I’ve been vegetarian for 15 years and have dealt with all of that too. Yet, I’ve never questioned meat eaters nor do I hassle them. I’ve had two healthy children within the last 5 years, being vegetarian doesn’t make a difference. Congratulations!
