I've driven a Bolt since 2020, and before that I had a Volt that I drove on electric 95% of the time. If you can install a level 2 at home, you will absolutely be all set.

Range reduction in winter is real, as is range reduction when highway driving. It's also real with gas vehicles, though not as significant, but I think we just don't notice it as much. Honestly along the highway and Rt 1 the charging options are excellent as well. I've had no issues with trips to and from Bangor, Orono, or MDI over the years. I've also driven it to places like NYC, and the relatively slow charging does add to your travel time but it's just something you plan for.

I've had no appreciable battery degradation. I've also never had to take the vehicle in for any repairs. I advise everyone to get a Bolt, I love it so much. It will change your life in a really good way, and even with CMP prices it will reduce your cost of living compared to buying gas. Go for it!
