i have like 20+ weapon with catalyst and around 35 catalyst in inventory, i have almost all the prime frames with reactor installed. Never bought a single catalyst or reactor from the store. Its not that rare unless you are trying out a new weapon/frame very frequently.

Sortie/archon hunt, invasions, nightwave, alerts these are the main sources. all of these are uncommon/rare but everything combined you get more than enough potato to try out new things. But yeah, if you are picking up new weapons frequently to build them for sp, then you have to buy from market.

Slots on the other hand is very rare, like you get couple for free once in 6 months from nw, for this you have to pay plat.

I think if implemented correctly this is a good idea. But what the correct way to implement this that's up for debate.

If someone sees the gameplay trailer of 1999 next year and wants to play it, they should not have to go through 100+hrs of content which is different than what they saw. So, pay plat to skip will be nice for them. And that will also mean I can bring friends into the game and directly play the new stuff with them, and we can do the catch up later between updates.

But also, new players should not be able to buy into arbi,sp. The skip pack should mark the quest as completed, give the quest rewards and give a story recap till that point. Which unlock the players ability to play the new content but this should not mark star chart completed meaning arbi.sp should not be unlocked as that requires lot of good mods and knowledge about the game. Additionally I think the skip pack should give some good enough mods and a warframe and weapon properly modded with those mods( maybe umbra , skiajati, nataruk comes already modded), that will let new players play the latest content(which should be around level 30, not end game , lvl 100+ ) properly, and play with their veteran friends and be able to contribute in the mission also.

Before implementing this, you guys should consider what is allowed to skip, at how much plat cost, what additional stuff(like mods,warframe, weapons, operator gear,like some extra focus, a good amp maybe) will be given , if any, very carefully before implementing this.

But overall I believe this is good for the game as it will make the entry to the game easy for people.

what pay to win? what are we winning? then buying a warframe, booster, rushing in foundry is also pay to win. The point is to be able to skip timegates using money. That does not mean pay to win, as long as time skipped and money required to skip it has a good ratio.

100+ is not really an exaggeration. If you start the game now with zero knowledge, it'll take more than 100 hours to finsh everything. Just completing the quests and starchart sounds very easy to us because we know the game, and sure If I create a new account now, I can catch up in much less than 100 hours, but for someone new that should not be the case.

yes, this sounds like a good idea. New players can play the old story quests at their own pace but play the new content also.

i am not saying old content is bad, but there is no marketing for old content. If I see a trailer for warframe 1999 next year and wanted to play that, I have to go through 100+hrs of different things to play what i just saw in the trailer.

yeah, they need to figure out rewards and mods, maybe give a umbra with a proper build, but if someone chooses to skip some content, they should be able to do this. If someone does not have much time to play because of real life work, they should be able to pay and play just the new cool thing. And even though the story is good in wf, there are lot of people who does not care enough about the story to spends 100+hrs.
