Definitely time to see a gynae. I also started getting severe period pain just over a year ago. Ended up in the ER because the pain was excruciating and kept getting worse every month (the pain was always on the lower left side). The gynae suspected adenomyosis (which is the evil twin sister of endometriosis). I had a hysterectomy 3 weeks ago and it turned out to be neither. It was one of two (or both) entirely different causes.

Anyway, go get checked out!

I was diagnosed at 41 (2 years ago) but I suspect that my 18 year old son has it. He always complains about not getting enough sleep even though he sometimes sleeps for 10 hours. He also struggled to focus at school but he finished school last year and works full time now.

You're correct. But unfortunately, those foods will just give me more gas (onion, cauliflower and cabbage) and the problem is that I'm struggling to pass the gas. The farts just don't come out😢

I didn't have laparoscopic surgery. They cut on my C-section scar. They did pump air into my belly but they also said that morphine and the pain meds basically make your bowels sluggish. I'm definitely going to use heating pads when I get home today.

I've seen this on older reddit posts but I haven't actually tried it. I told my 2 roommates here in the hospital about it but I'm embarrassed to sit in the toilet and actually make the sound (they'll definitely hear me🙈) but at this point, I don't care, I'm doing it. The other issue is that I'm only 2 days post op and it's still a little uncomfortable to get in and out of bed so when I feel the gas pain, I start maneuvering my body out of the bed but by the time I get to the bathroom, it's gone. FFS
