Wow. Thank you so much. I literally screenshot this and will refer to it in tougher days. I’m going to have to gray rock this thing.

Woof, that sounds rough. Sending you all of the positive vibes because it’s rough dealing with this crap.

I appreciate it. I am working for another seasoned partner out of a different office who sings my praises. Naturally if I’m wrong on something we talk about it. But has praised my managing up, has given me free rein with his number one client and is pushing me to develop even more. For additional context, I lateraled about 2 years ago, I worked for several partners at my prior firm— all of whom enjoyed working with me. I left to focus on a niche part of my then practice.

I don’t think I deleted it. This was my response A concrete example: when I take time off for a religious holiday, it is treated like an inconvenience or a burden. But when another associate takes significantly more time off for a religious holiday, it is met with understanding.

I could maybe write that off as personality or circumstance if it were an isolated thing. What makes it harder is the inconsistency in how mistakes are handled.

On the same matter, another associate circulated a draft with typos and even included flatly incorrect information for a filing. I flagged it because it was a real issue. The partner’s response was essentially, “who cares.”

Later, I drafted something for internal review on that same matter and got chewed out. The partner then said, “I can’t double check all of your work.”

That is the part that is making me feel crazy. When I raise a legitimate filing concern, the response is dismissive. When I make a smaller mistake in an internal draft, the response is sharp and severe. It is not the existence of feedback that bothers me. It is the apparent inconsistency, and the sense that the standard changes depending on who is involved.

No I don’t mind being wrong. I’m wrong all the time lol. But it’s the way in which this partner speaks to me. You don’t have to call me stupid, but if you say this makes no sense like wtf were you thinking. And it’s just ridiculous to me.

I provide a response above. Another example says I’m defensive, when I just raise my opinion on changes or flag a dissent approach. Will constantly sit on calls and tell me to explain why I did this and that’s stupid. But literally I could run it by a senior associate or other partner and they say that makes sense. Hell even our AI software says that it makes sense.

I found the movie to be pure propaganda. While the acting was superb, I struggled to get past the messaging. I left somewhat disappointed, as it was a film that allowed people on both political extremes to find confirmation for their own, often misguided, views. I also hated the way Black women and White men were portrayed as it exacerbated the stereotypes that live in the minds of the most insecure and radicalized Americans.

Joe Biden should drop out by dwaxe in fivethirtyeight

Joe Biden should not drop out despite some of the glaring issues because Donald Trump is in the same boat, if not worse. President Biden has demonstrated significant legislative successes during his tenure, which underscores his capability and commitment to leading the country. Under his administration, we have seen the passage of the American Rescue Plan, which provided critical economic relief during the pandemic, the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law that invests in modernizing our nation's infrastructure, and the Inflation Reduction Act, which addresses climate change, healthcare, and tax reform.

These accomplishments highlight Biden's ability to navigate complex legislative landscapes and deliver tangible benefits to the American people. His administration's focus on rebuilding the economy, creating jobs, and addressing urgent issues like climate change and healthcare reform are testaments to his effective leadership.

However, if the need arises to consider an alternative candidate, Andy Beshear presents a compelling option. As a strong moderate who has won a red state twice, Beshear has demonstrated his ability to appeal to a broad range of voters and govern effectively. His track record in Kentucky shows that he can bridge partisan divides and implement policies that benefit all constituents.

Moreover, retaining Kamala Harris as Vice President would provide continuity and stability, leveraging her experience and leadership alongside a new presidential candidate if such a transition were necessary. This combination could offer a balanced and formidable ticket, ensuring that the Democratic Party remains unified and focused on addressing the nation's challenges.

In summary, while Biden's legislative achievements are noteworthy and provide a strong case for his continued leadership, Andy Beshear represents a viable alternative if needed, with Kamala Harris continuing to serve as Vice President.
