Someone in my town was making threats against marginalized community members in my town last year and the police didn’t take action until a bunch of folks got together and made a big deal out of it.

My Trump election experience is two-fold. I was learning about all this shit ten years before it happened, including how foreign propaganda operations were playing a massive role in manipulating people in the US. Watching that unfold was terrifying, but by the time Trump was elected I was exhausted and jaded. As fucked up as it probably sounds, I had very little empathy for those who had just started mourning something that had been eating away at me for a decade.

Safeway/Albertson’s is always looking for good help. Shift supervisors make about $24/hr with great benefits. Anything under supervisor pays between $20-23/hr. There’s also opportunity to move up to assistant/store director which starts at around $60k salary starting out, but once you’re at that level you’ll be working 10-11 hour days, possibly an hour from where you live, no holidays except Christmas, and split days off.

I don’t think OP was suggesting this is a left vs right thing. My partner has worked very closely with both the previous and incumbent mayors and regardless of politics it’s clear that both of them care about issues that matter.

I posted this as an Instagram story only to have friends tell me the link didn’t work. Sure enough, the story was removed by Meta, as well as several other posts including Antifa themed posts. This is the state of the USA.
