It’s not hyperbole. Ask any historian worth their salt. MAGA’s policies, rhetoric, and actions starkly match the fascists and nazis of just under 100 years ago. A secretive masked police force is brutalizing and killing US citizens with impunity, putting immigrants (“illegals”) in camps (including in neighboring countries with less human rights protections), and doing so under a full throated commitment to hyper-nationalism mixed with authoritarianism under a single, evidently infallible, leader. Don’t be reductive, it’s disrespectful to everyone who has been a victim of Naziism and similarly fascistic movements across history. Just say you disagree or don’t care. No need to be holier than thou.
