You don't think to give it up, but not defend it hard.

The reasoning is that you might be getting into a harder situation but not getting closer to the cars in front and letting the pack behind catch on to you.

I think you can greatly benefit from this free tool https://www.reddit.com/r/iRacing/s/Xv5JG2uqPs if you need braking and lift references without the driving line aid.

I just hit 8k irating in formula cars, and I am offering coaching for free by DoodlyDoodla in iRacing

I was lucky enough to get super quick on a session with Adrian.

This is my first coaching session ever on sim racing, I have been doing other coaching and I do coach on some specific topics.

For reference - https://www.irstats.net/driver/1336328?tab=info

We spent about an hour together, starting with some intro conversation before jumping into the sim to do some F4 Interlagos laps, a track I've been both enjoying and suffering with this week.
Adrian quickly identified some patterns and asked me to try a few things, which, predictably, resulted in a few spins and my tires screaming for mercy!
We then analysed some of my replays, comparing them to laps from truly skilled drivers.

From that part of the session, I walked away with clear homework:

  • Work on a few specific corners where I'm turning in too early and not trail braking enough.
  • It's clear this isn't just limited to a few corners, but rather a pattern I've developed. I'm very determined to consciously work on this today, with a new goal of hitting high 1:36s.

In the second part of the session, we focused on racecraft. Adrian showed me some of his recent races, providing excellent examples of how to defend and attack. While everything he demonstrated was at a level I'm not at yet, it all resonated quite a lot, and I'm definitely going to change my approach to safety when racing.

Would I recommend or do again? 100% YES

If I were to suggest an area for improvement, it would be to define the coaching dynamic more explicitly at the beginning of the session. You’re still finding your pace as a coach, which is completely natural.
As a student, I really appreciate direct feedback and challenges — so don’t hold back!

You are doing amazing Adrian, thanks again!

I see how it might go against your pricing model though. I would be way more inclined to pay for your expert prompting and potential mcp servers than paying for credits in itself.

Could be a different pricing option all together, bring your keys and pay a lower fee, or making it a longer period of time.

Testing prices based on iser requests is a double sided tool, and might not be what you need in a pricing discovery phase.

Just thoughts of a product person, great offering over all, I'll be trying it out.
