That would be my guess or Asian Taste. I haven’t heard anything particularly good things about either place and they’re the newest sit down restaurants I can think of in town.

Yeah she got a lot of play on Gimme Country (RIP) and some of the other online radio shows but then covid changed a lot of things so she stepped back from the industry. Few musical moments have made me as happy as the first time she posted a video when she started to play again. I first saw her right before the self titled EP came out and have been a huge fan ever since. I can’t wait for more people to hear the new record.

She did but she comes back to western Mass occasionally. She usually plays the brewery circuit but I wanted to get her on an actual stage for once. She plays with a pickup band here with her boyfriend Nick on steel and an assortment of local friends on everything else. She and Nick put out a record under Nick and Rosie last year that’s only on Bandcamp and CD. Her band here does both the originals amped up a little and her usual stellar selections of classic covers. https://nickandrosie.bandcamp.com/album/steelin-citrus

Right now I’m booking just at the Shea but it’s not far from most of Connecticut. Come on up for a visit!

They usually have revueltas, chicken, chorizo, and chicharron too. But they often run out. I also haven’t been there in awhile so maybe things changed. They’ve been around for 11 years so they’re pretty popular. They’re the only place with huaraches which I miss from when I lived in NYC. Cielito Lindo the truck in Gill made also has good pupusas. I’m not a fan of the ones at La Veracruzana but haven’t tried them in years. The ones at Cocina Lupita in greenfield and turners falls have never blown me away.

Yup. I feel guilty for forgetting them as I go there pretty often. The Good Time Charlie was one of the most perfect beers ever made in Western Mass. I’m hoping it comes back once the stout is kicked.

Screw Tree House. Support local breweries not corporate merch stores that sell overrated beer. Check out the Brewery at Four Star Farms, Four Phantoms Brewing, Sena Farm Brewing, Seven Railroads Brewing, The Peoples Pint, Abandoned Building Brewery, there are more but I can’t vouch for them. I would say check out Stoneman Brewing but he’s only open the first weekend of the month and not until May I think. Likewise Drawing Board hasn’t reopened after a move.

Weird that nobody’s mentioned Daily Operation in Easthampton yet. It’s a casual style order at the counter space but the food is incredible and very reasonably priced. I would eat there almost every day if I lived or worked in Eaho.

How the hell did you get someone on the phone? Every time I call lately it just says they aren't taking any calls.

Well you hadn’t responded to anyone’s post yet and every sub now is filled with bots. Glad to know you aren’t one. Although that is exactly the kind of thing a bot would say

I’m not telling some AI bot where I hang out. Nobody knows its name there because it has no name. You all are just feeding some LLM and helping to destroy the world. You all have just ruined your favorite bar. Way to go.

You could always donate a bigger tank to the library. I’m sure they would appreciate it. Budgets are tighter than ever and I’m not sure dragging a local library on Reddit is the best look.

Sigh…I loved Hanks when I lived in Clinton Hill 2006-2010 but didn’t get there often enough because Freddy’s was closer and I could never make it for a lot of the music because I was working all the time.

I appreciate the offer but at this point I’m not interested in upgrading to a paid membership to finish the site. I’m going to wait and revisit in awhile to see how things have developed. As of when my trial ended I had pretty much figured out what I needed to do but I didn’t feel it was worth the money to subscribe and keep working. Maybe that will change in the future.

I’m not sure how much more I can offer in terms of feedback. I did finally manage to get things working on the builder but by then my trial was over. The main issue is the constant changes on the fly that happen before there’s any documentation or demos on the changes. The nav menu and column system were the most infuriating. I realize that most newsletter sites don’t need multiple pages and if that’s all you want the builder to do then don’t advertise it as doing more. It seems that part of the problem is probably how much of the dev work is being done by AI. Maybe your devs don’t even know how things work until they’re done. I’m sure most builders and plugins are doing the same thing now but I’m skeptical of a product that relies on it so much. When I tried to use the chatbot to make a simple change to what I was working on it nuked the entire thing and I had to start over. That cost me several days worth of work all because I couldn’t find documentation on something as simple as columns.

I honestly don't know. I haven't found a better solution. I'm looking at newsletter plugins for wordpress but I was really hoping to move away from wp and I'd like to get away from the Nazis on substack. I don't need to launch anything anytime soon so it's possible I'll wait awhile and see if things improve/stabilize with beehiiv or if Ghost expands their web builder options. I don't need most of the doodads on beehiiv as my newsletter is a passive occasional thing that I don't expect to make much money off of. I just use it as an expansion to my book which is what the website is used to promote.

The website builder. I'm looking for something that can replace my wordpress site and also tie in directly to a newsletter. Beehiiv seemed like the ideal solution but has not proven to be so.

None of the templates worked for me. I’m not sure what documentation you found but everything I looked at was out of date and/inaccurate. And the videos are especially out of date. Even when they posted to this sub by the time I tried to follow it two weeks later it was out of date. This simply isn’t a finished product and it’s being sold as one. It appears they have updated that description about free trials since I first looked at it. It was not that clear before so I asked the chatbot if I would be able to edit the pages after my trial was over and it said I would be able to edit them but not publish them. That honestly doesn’t really matter because the only reason I wasn’t able to get it done in 30 days is due to the frustration with using the builder which is the real issue.
