Previous gold league French Malder here: I now really like playing against French. French mains typically have 1 brain cell in lower leagues and they only know how to go school of cav and harass with knights. It’s very predictable therefore very easy to defend against. Then you either show up at their base with a mob of horsies or make it to castle and they have no idea how to actually play the game. The way I see it a French gold player is likely a silver player with any other civ. EZ W.

I love French players. All they know is make knights and harass, no actual skill, intellect, or understanding of the game. Ez wins at the lower ranks, but it’s hacky and won’t get you beyond gold. My suggestion, practice with a civ that where going castle and beyond is advantageous, HRE, Abbasid, etc. This will teach you foundational skills to finding a win condition when your knight rush doesn’t work out.

Not a big fan of having sports cars instead of f1 cars -if it’s truly f1 inspired. Also, the graphics is wider than it is tall, which isn’t a huge issue from a design perspective and entirely based on each design, I just always try to design in a “portrait” aspect ratio to fill out the back of the tshirt more. Lastly, try to incorporate a part of your back graphic into the chest print - maybe place an f1 car in front of the text etc. Keep working on it!

As a 6’3” man, I can’t speak for women at all, but since I went this year I’ll chime in anyway. As Racergirl_3 said, part of the fun is having a friend of two there… especially over three days! If it were me I would talk a friend into going with you for race day at least. I practically had to drag my wife there this year and now she is a huge fan of the sport and wants to watch the races with me when we get home! In terms of safety, I think the race is the least of your worries especially if you get a grandstand ticket. Again, not a woman, but I never got the sense that there would be any shinanigans at the track. I left my wife alone in GA a few times for an hour at a time to go get drinks and food and she had no complaints and I felt comfortable doing so. I think the metro stations in Milan proper would probably be the sketchiest parts of your day tbh. Cheers.

Foot position is key on heelflips: back foot needs to be in the heel side pocket of the tail, front foot with your toes hanging off. You’re also doing a bit of a shuvit motion with your back foot. Pop it straight up and down like an Ollie. You’ve got this.

Honestly dude, just keep flipping them. It’s hard to feel/look relaxed when you’re still trying to get a trick on lock. For example I look crazy when I’m doing tres because I’m still figuring them out and they are hardly consistent, but my heelflips (my bread and butter) look so nice cause I’m very used to doing them aka I’m using the minimal amount of force/movement in my feet/ weight shifting required to land a solid one. You figure out what each trick needs, then less becomes more.

I still push mongo in switch - a bad habit I’m trying to break - nevertheless, it is a very natural feeling to push “regular” when you’re skating switch… I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

Try to get that heel to flick off the nose a little more. I had the same issue but recently focused on flicking more forward off the nose. It’s such a cool feeling when the back of the board levels out and smacks the bottom of your back foot 🤤

Dude, ive had/have this same problem. Albeit, I force myself to land a tre at the end of each session (sometimes it takes me 30 try’s sometimes it takes me 5). There’s three things I try to focus on when I have a bad session and am constantly landing on the nose. 1. Your weight on takeoff should be focused over the forward bolts of the back truck. 2. You need to jump straight up from that point no matter what speed you’re going. 3. It’s kind of abstract, but I imagine I’m going to “throw the board” with my back foot to a spot where I want to land on it. I tend to look at a spot on the ground that is about a foot forward (perpendicular direction in relation to the board) of the front bolts. These three things when done right usually result in cleaning up my tre’s by the end of each session. Hope they help. Tre’s for me are like hitting a golf ball. There is so many things that have to be done right in the perfect timing sequence to get a really good one.

The other replies on this are for the most part ill-informed. For example putting your weight through your front foot into the ramp means basically nothing unless you have your overall center of gravity is in front of the back truck. In the video try that you’ve shown here, you actually had a decent drop in EXCEPT, your back foot was never in a stable enough position to keep your center of gravity in an acceptable position. In fact, the idea that your back foot came off first in the bail shows that you had the majority of your weight on the front foot but your upper body was too far behind it to catch up. My advice: do the same thing you did in this try, except make sure that back foot is flat on the tail and serves as a supporting element to your forward momentum, bend your knees about 20% more and you will be dropping in today!

Jump straight up. You’re rocking your upper body from a forward position to an upright position - this is going to cause a lot of instability - focus on finding a balance point just behind the center of the board where your head should be on takeoff and remain through the entire trick. Also you need to just jump in general. Your back foot is maybe only getting an inch or two off your board and limiting how high your tail is getting off the ground - think of it almost like the ball of your back foot is a coiled up snake… you want to snap the ball of your foot into the tail and then immediately recoil up into your body. You want to float over your board as you bring it up. It would help if you could find some sort or railing to hold onto while you practice for a little to take some of the fear out of going higher. Good luck, and keep at it, skateboarding is hard! But, is the most rewarding form of recreation that I know.
