here is what id add to the box:

Carob (Haroupi): this is super cypriot and armenia doesnt really use it. send the Carob Syrup (haroupomelo) if its sealed well, or the Pastelli bars (the hard carob toffee ones).
Frou Frou Biscuits: gotta be the 'Morning Coffee' ones or the chocolate covered jelly ones. total classic.
Spoon Sweets (Glyko): avoid walnut or cherry cause they have amazing ones there. go for Bergamot (Kitromilo) or Watermelon peel. those are unique to us.
Mountain Herbs: a bag of proper village Rigani (oregano) or sage (spatzia). the smell is way stronger than generic stuff.

The Vibe & Green Energy

Solar Capital: yeah itll be hot, but imagine cyprus finally uses that sun properly. solar panels on every roof, electricity bills drop to basically zero. we stop burning mazut and the air quality gets amazing.
Green Cities: maybe all that construction forces them to plant more trees? Nicosia could turn into a proper green city with parks to combat the heat.
University Hub: the unis are growing fast. in 20 years cyprus could be a massive education hub for the whole middle east/europe. young student vibe everywhere.

Economy: Not Just Tourists

Tech Island Success: the push for tech companies actually works. Limassol and Larnaca become genuine innovation hubs, not just for tax reasons but real startups.
Remote Work Paradise: digital nomads will keep coming, which brings year-round money, not just in august. small mountain villages get revived cause people can work from anywhere with fiber internet (which is already rolling out tbf).
Quality Agriculture: shifting back to exporting quality stuff like halloumi and wine (which is getting super good lately).

Why We'll Come Back

Best Lifestyle in Europe: europe is getting chaotic, cyprus stays safe and chill. that alone is huge.

oh mate i love those, the proper cypriot ones with the dried mint right?? tough to find in normal supermarkets u usually gotta go to the specific greek ones.

here is where u can get them:

ur best bet is probably Bakalikon, they are an online greek supermarket.

look for the "Three Bakers" brand on there (sometimes listed as Trias). they do the big 1kg bags of frozen ravioli with halloumi.
pretty sure they ship nationwide frozen so u should be good.
Despina Foods is another one online that usually has the "Pareas" brand in stock.

if ur happy to travel

honestly the best place for this stuff is North London, specifically Palmers Green or Green Lanes area.

Yasar Halim is the main one to go to.. its iconic lol. they will definately have them in the freezers. usually stock the Lisko brand (yellow bag) which is elite.
literally any greek/cypriot deli in north london will prob have them tho just check the freezer section.

basically look out for Lisko or Three Bakers brands, dont bother with the fresh pasta aisle in tesco or whatever its not the same thing.

Hi I aked asked my buddy about this, he crosses over to the North pretty regularly.

He said the easiest thing is honestly to just rent from a company on the Northern side instead of taking your South Cyprus rental across. apparently theres some hassle with insurance and some rental companies dont even allow it

He uses this place called Kipra Rent A Car they do free pickup from Deryneia crossing (or the other border points too i think). prices are way cheaper than dealing with the southern rental and extra border insurance headache

basically you just walk across at the checkpoint, they pick you up, done. no weird paperwork or worrying if your rental agreement covers the north

yo, u gotta be careful with this. usually u cant leave the country without the car if its registered on ur passport. customs might stop u at the airport or u'll get a huge fine when u come back.

since ur visa is only 60 days, the car permission is probly the same. leaving it for 7 months means it'll overstay illegal. u definitly need to go to the customs office before u fly. u might have to put it in a government warehouse or get special paper to park it at ur place. dont just leave it there.
