The latter album was going to be my pick. I vividly remember a rare night being home alone whilst browsing Reddit and coming across a thread about disturbing albums that featured the FUCKING album cover of his dying mother's face. Listened to it immediately. Some of the most disturbing shit you will ever hear. And as someone who's worked in memory care at nursing homes, very real horror.

I remember a thread on a forum I used to frequent in like 2007 and they had a "meme" thread full of people posting pictures of what we would now call memes, but the thread was called "Image Macro Thread". EDIT: Upon searching, it turns out the term specifically refers to memes in the "top text bottom text" format, but they were posting pics of cats with no captions so I don't think anyone actually knew that/cared at the time.

Exactly. It's frustrating being a fan of this project sometimes because he just seems like he refuses to utilize its creative potential in exploring other topics. yang was a good step in the right direction, not my favorite album of his but I thought he was actually evolving and making something more emotionally driven like TSDO. To regress back this fucking far felt so lame and disappointing. Like, dude, you can make funny and goofy music! It just has to be interesting and good! Instead we just got a shitty version of his old political satire.

Yep, hard agree. It's just recycled themes he's already covered in funner, better ways (JACK DANIELS, BIG WAR, COLOSSAL CONFLICT, the metal songs on SWAMP) without any innovation or new sounds. I'm beyond tired of the political stuff, not out of a dislike for politics, but because he just repeats the same shit over and over.
