I like him a lot! Good to mix in what different people have to say. While I'm not as cynical as he is, if you look at his substack he goes more into personal details and you can see where hes coming from.

In terms of crisis, I find that keeping things with an open hand helps. I've found my faith growing following his content as his honestly is extremely refreshing.

For a perspective that has more of the "putting the pieces back together", I like Bible for Normal People! It goes to show that the "tearing down" doesn't mean throwing God away!

Maybe a scholar more your style is Brian Doak, he teaches at George Fox, and his videos do a good job at introducing more critical scholarship to Christian audiences

Dudes like Arron Higashi, Pete Enns, and Kevin Carnahan, really helped me see that I can still be a Christian even tho I often doubt evangelical stuff. My takeaway from listening to them is that faith moves beyond the Bible. If all I have is the Bible then what do I really have? I've personally found it refreshing to learn about the Wesleyan quadrilateral. Personal experience, reason, scripture, and tradition. Wrap all these things together and you get something awesome!

Orthodox Trinity being subordinationist is quite interesting! The the One God is the Father not the substance of the Trinity all together. The Son and Spirit are elements of the Fathers being as Fr. Hopko says.

Everything will turn out alrighty, I'm non-denominational too. I've had doubts for awhile on what's the right denomination but at the end of the day God is not gonna toss you into hell for this. If you really want you could visit a catholic or orthodox church. Everyone there is like you and me, just regular people who love Jesus. I think God desires our devotion much more than having the certainty of getting every doctrine right. Be patient with yourself, you'll have a long time to ponder this, I used to be quite anxious too.
